Active Camo Not on Radar

This is for matchmaking on Halo 4 in Xbox Live on the Xbox 360 in all playlists that have the active camo armor ability enabled and usable.

Hi all,

I have been seeing this a lot more now - people use active camo in MM but do not appear on the radar. What I see on my radar is a red dot (them) that flashes blue (a single dot, the same dot that used to be them) and them disappears. Then when I round the corner, my eyes tell me they are invisible (I see them staying invisible, I see them break camo to shoot me, or I see they were invisible in the kill cam afterwards - or a combination of the 3).

Essentially, they are using Active Camo without appearing on the radar (there are no blue dots to indicate they are there). I pay attention to my radar a lot, so now whenever I see a dot flash blue then disappear, I just run away because I assume they are glitching.

In the theater, their camo will work fine and appear on both their and my radars. It is only in-game.

Please please PLEASE fix this glitch as it is happening every other game for me in Big Team and regular Team Slayer.

However, if it is not a glitch and is part of the game, can someone please tell me how to do it? It would be great to know how.

I am hoping someone from 343i will reply to this. This is a technical issue that needs their direct attention.

Hi Nurav,

Thanks for your report. When the energy for the Active Camo Armor Ability wears off, the blue dots will disappear from your radar slightly before the player is actually returned to full visibility. For example, if you are rounding a corner, there may be no blue dots to indicate invisibility, but the player may still be slightly invisible as the Armor Ability wears off and the energy becomes depleted. In your example, it seems possible that you are experiencing this exact timing, where a player without blue dots would appear invisible for a brief period, and begin shooting you to “break” camo as you come around the corner.

Please let us know if the above scenario correctly explains the issue. If not, we’ll continue to investigate. Thank you!

We hope the reason we haven’t heard back from you is because your issue has been resolved. If your issue has not been resolved, please start a new thread. Thanks, and happy Halo-ing.
