Active Camo is for players with no cahones

Usually I can handle Active Camo. But one game just totally threw me for a loop and changes MUST be made. Playing BTB on Shatter. Everyone on their team had Active Camo. Everyone. And for the first time (for me), and multiple times during the game, the glitch of no dots for Active Camo users appeared. Active Camo CQC is ok because you can at least see them. But BTB is not ok. You can’t see them from far away, and they were always in the tops of the nooks and crannies where they would go from one side and get cover from rocks. Or, they would pull the famous Active Camo sniping. I even saw one of these Active Camo players hijack a Mantis after not showing up on radar and run like he had speed boost to the nearest lift.

I don’t know if it’s just me either, but when I’m shooting someone in Active Camo who happens to be moving and shooting, it is as if his player is lagging or jittering to an insane degree to where I can’t get a shot on him. It use to be that Active Camo was a powerup along with overshield. They should keep it as a powerup. I’m ok with Active Camo being an Ordinance drop instead of an AA. Shoot, make it so that they don’t even flicker for the amount of time they have the Active Camo as an Ordinance drop. I’d still be ok with it. But please, it cannot be a usable AA because it is just too powerful.

Slow clap

You couldn’t have put it better.
One of my biggest problems with this game is active camo as an AA.
If anything, it should be an ordinance drop.

Active camo in BTB? Use hologram. Problem solved.

I’ve never had a big issue with Active Camo. Generally most people who use it frequently rely on it fairly heavily, camp in the same predictable locations and give their positions away firing at the first target to show itself. Observational awareness helps keep this from becoming an issue, moreso when you push for CQC on cloakers and use something suited for close range automatic fire to disrupt their AA and take them out while someone runs decoy long enough for the team to rout them and get them rethinking their loadout selections.

Of course if they’re using the baby mode “game mechanics do half the aiming for me” gun it’s a whole other ball game, but that’s the weapon’s fault.

There are many threads like this but I agree with every one of them, Active Camo is a terrible AA and shouldn’t even have been an AA.

You should make a poll to see who agrees/disagrees to see how you can obtain Active Camo such as
-Loadouts
-Ordinance Drop
-Map Placement

If you played the Crysis 2 multiplayer then you know what the problem was with that game. EVERYONE USED INVISIBILITY. Sniping became impossible and camping was the norm.

Make AC an ordinance drop, it would fit in with the others and wouldn’t detract from the other game modes.

Everything?

I still see plenty of sniping and the cloak campers are fairly easy to shake down.
