Active camo is the most useless AA right now. It’s like armor lock but your invisible instead of invincible.
What I mean by this is you can’t move, you can only move a bit and then re-enter invisibility. This is what you do with armor lock if you want to stay in armor lock down but you also want to move.
So basically this is a stationary AA now? What happened to being able to move normally and remain in camo? The game would be a lot more fun and assassinations would reach a whole new level of awesomeness if it was buffed.
In a practical and realistic sense I am more invisible crouching behind a wall than using active camo behind a wall. If someone sees their radar getting jammed all they have to do is point their gun toward the center of the jam and fire like a mad man until the active camo dude dies or runs away. If I crouch behind a wall I’m more invisible because:
No one can see me on the radar
You move almost silently (sound ****** may think otherwise)
Did I forget to mention you can’t see me on the radar?
Main Point: No one uses this ability but snipers. Active camo should enable reconnaissance and allow you to peruse your target with a stealthy approach.
Ideas: In exchange for full mobility and a regular radar whilst in active camo you could make it so our shields are weakened or are completely down while in active camo, for combat purposes the INSTANT you come out of active camo you should have your shields dup, and I mean when you press the button, not when you are fully visible. The reason I say to remove shields while in camo is because chances are they won’t fire at you anyway because your invisible. But if the AA runs out to fast you have a problem, so the amount the crouch drain
THAT OR THIS NEXT IDEA
You could gives us unlimited camo but have us move at a slow rate while in it. I believe this idea will work if incorporated correctly. This is how most games utilize the stealth ability, you can learn from them. The amount you are slowed down isn’t that much, it’s just a little slower so you aren’t able to chase down people and kill them. Active camo is a passive-aggressive ability, you have to wait for them to come to you, so you intersect them instead of chasing them. You could also make armor that will buff the walking speed while in stealth, this is also what has been done in other games.
For all you who can’t be bother to read all that:
Method 1: Give us normal walk speed with a crouch-like drain time and turn our shields off while invisible with no radar jam.
Method 2: Give us unlimited and make us slower with no radar jam. Could make stealth armor types that increase stealth walking speed.
I appreciate the TL;DR at bottom, but camouflage is a necessity. Elites have it, Spartans have it. Son’t do anything to it while in use except maybe limit the cool-down period. I see no problem with camo as if you’re sprinting or shooting, you get revealed and quite fast.

They seem to have a problem with doing that because that’s how it was before (If I recall correctly) so I’m throwing out more ideas.
I thought the active camo was just about as useful as any of the other armor abilities in halo reach, I loved it the way it was so I wouldn’t mind if they just kept it the exact same way it was in reach.
> God no. It shouldn’t be an AA so the weaker it is the better.

> Have you ever played a game where every single person uses camo? It is LITERALLY a joke. One of the most limited things i’ve ever experienced while playing a game. It honestly baffled me how something so stupid could get into the final version of a AAA caliber game.

Tell that to one of the most successful games ever

What? Reach? The game that sold the most compared to any Halo title, but has the smallest population? I call that a success.
Or are we talking about Super Mario Bros.? Because that game didn’t have Invisibility. as a starting ability.
Or they can have it the way it was 1-3. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the power-up version. Bungie just felt a stupid need to change something to make it worse. Hopefully Halo 5 will go back to the old good way.
I couldn’t disagree with you any more on the “camo is the most useless AA” have you ever tried sniping another sniper with camo? I guess not. Camo is grossly overpowered for an off spawn ability, it needs removing as an AA (I’d be happier if the removed AA’s all together but that isn’t going to happen) and it should be made a pick up.
