Active Cammo slowing the game to a crawl.

I think it is pathetic that a game of slayer times out. now that players can drop a sniper with ordinance its become a campers paradise. No one wants to stick their neck out when you have cammo tards crawling all over the map. It’s now become a punishment to be visible at any time. Its no longer who has the better dmr skills, its who can land the first shot or two while invisible. Whatever tweaks that separate the Reach active cammo from H4 has made a significant increase in active cammo users. Between active cammo as a loadout and introducing boltshot as a spawn weapon, I think my Halo days may be over.

you seem frustrated. Many players say they are just going to quit halo because they cant win. Are you just going to throw something down now when we have a title update coming in few weeks. Be patient. and get used to change. the term if you cant beat em join em is also another option

Ive seen the opposite side of camo camping, one match especially stands out in the last few months.

Complex, camo, boltshot campers in the central building, once we knew they were there, they got flushed out and taken care of. And at least two of them on respawn went right back to the central building and camo’d up. My team simply avoided the building, but on the first hint of those guys coming out we coordinated an attack, they hunkered down…Its amazing what grenades from several different directions can do.

Most of the match we were beating up on at least 2 of the other team who were trying a straight forward game, so the pace of our scoring was normal. WHat I realized though was that the camo campers had made themselves so well known (and they were getting the occasional kill no doubt), that in avoiding them they were scoring excruciatingly slowly. In their camo camping, they were effective, if you tried to rush them, they knew how to use that boltshot. Its just pace/time-wise we simply outscored them. Their camo camping had become just that, a complete waste of time.

I think the active cammo worked better in Reach. It made sense to be used as a radar Jammar and it worked well against the player using it. I think halo 4 presented it in a poor logical way. Not only is broken but it completely benfits the user with no counter measure. In halo 3 you had to fight for the cammo power up which was the counter measure and the balance. I agree with you about stalling game play. It’s even worse in H4 FFA.
