Activate Spartan?

On the Waypoint xbox app, there is a button that says ‘activate spartan’, for me it is greyed out, but I’ve heard it can be clicked and changes to “deactivate spartan”

What does this button do.

i ave found this also, and for myself it is also greyed out, what is its purpose?

Cyberknight:
So, Halo Waypoint got an update. At the top of the screen is a banner showing some basic Halo 4 stats (commendation %, recent medals, …). If you highlight it and press A, you can get the player compare screen and four menu options across the top. One says, “Deactivate Spartan”. If you select it, it flips to “Activate Spartan”. So apparently I turned something off (and back on), but I could see no other visible change on the UI.

Any ideas what this does?

Could it be related to CSR in anyway?

I’m not sure what it does also. I’ll see what it does and tell u guys

Well, that’s odd; I was going to come in here and ask, and my words beat me here.

Here is the button for those playing at home: http://i.imgur.com/Y6cBjkn.jpg?1

It’s not usable by me either.

If you are using your Kinect sensor to browse through Waypoint, you can activate your Spartan and there will be a reflection of your body in the background as your spartan, wearing whatever armor you are wearing in-game.

Huh, I was just about to tell u guys about the Kinect thing. But, 343i just beat me to it

Even though I think the Kinect is the dumbest Xbox accessory…what you just described is pretty friggin cool.

Can somebody please make a video of this and upload it to YouTube?

I think I might get Kinect just for this and a couple games.

What?! Plugging in my Kinect now…

This would be a WAY awesome feature, if I wasn’t stuck with the red recruit armor.

My Spartan shows me wearing my in game armor.

This is really awesome. Love this kind of use with the Kinect. Great job with this 343.

This is crazy awesome.

But what does “Deactivate Spartan” do? Just turn off the effect? If it does something else cool, could you link me to that?

I might just get Kinect, or wait it out until the next Xbox.

Wanna hear something funny. I sold my kinect to get Crysis and now that i came here and heard you can Activate your Spartan, makes me want to go back and get it.

What I love about Halo is that sometimes it unleashes the inner child in me. Watching my silhouette shift into my armor on-screen? Spectacular.

I’m just imagining the chief dancing around using the spartan reflection on waypoint while the Activate song plays in the background… Lol.
