Out of the 10 or so matches that I played in Action Sack, 6 or 7 of those I joined with the match in progress. The problem with this is that in literally all of the the games I JIP’d I was either in the last round of Mantis Breakout/Tank World (without having the chance to respawn, by the way) or in the last possible second of Rift Ball. Why does that happen? At the very lest make it so a player can only JIP at the start of the match. The gametypes in Action Sack are meant to be quick: someone that enters in, let’s say, Ground Pound Arena at the 4 minute mark is likely not going to be able to win. This problem has kept me away from the playlist, which is a shame since it seems to me as one of the best experiences Halo 5 could offer to its playerbase.
JIP in Breakout gametypes is useless since you don’t join until the last round and then you can’t even spawn in.
I made a thread about this about a week ago. In all of the breakout variants, JiP is disabled until the “facing elimination round.” So it will play an entire game down a person and on the final round it will bring people in, not allow them to spawn, and more often than not add a loss to their record completely out of their control.

JIP should just be taken out entirely from Action Sack and BTB. It hardly does anything but frustrate the player in these playlists.

As far as my experiences are concerned, the JIP process can start in the round before the elimination one but only load the player after it has started. I can assure you that not only has this happened to me but to someone that joined a match of breakout that I was in and was forced to spectate as well.
I agree that JIP should be completely removed. The very least from action sack. It doesn’t help. I’ve had those experiences too where your thrown into a game and it’s on the last round and game over and you don’t get to play wasting 3 to 5 minutes of your life. Not that that’s anything special. But I have yet to join a game where I can actually play. Sometimes I have to restart my halo due to the game ending while joining me through the loading screen. It’s sooooo frustrating. I’m ready for the next weekly playlist to be added.
