Since action sack is launching monday. I was thinking it would be cool to have a SWORDS gametype. What do you think?
great idea! I remember doing swords and shotguns gametype back in halo 2. Swords only would be fun though
It isn’t like back in the Halo 2 days. Swords clash, so it can take forever to get a kill. It was so annoying in Reach when they had the game mode (can’t remember what it was called). Swords would clash 10 times before someone got a kill

A complete nightmare. Games would end with the winner only getting 10-15 kills
I’d love to see this. I really enjoyed this gametype in Halo 3, where you’d just get a cluster of people swording one another. The clashes aren’t really a problem, you just need to be the one who pulls of a sneaky move.
Well, I guess it was a problem in reach, where everyone had like, 3x overshields and reduced damage (wtf?)

Primary: Energy Sword
Secondary: Plasma Pistol (8sk)
Grenades: None
AA: Hard Light Shield
TacPack: Mobility
SupUp: Stealth* / Dexterity
*Not possible in custom games 
No Radar
110% Movement speed
150% Damage
Random Ordnance Disabled
Personal Ordnance Enabled: 100pts
- Speed Boost
- Hologram
- Jet Pack

I’d like these…
Tug of War: (Team Slayer) - Players spawn with Battle Rifles. Points are gained by killing opponents, but lost by dying. Bonus points are awarded for killing sprees or eliminations. First team to 25 points wins. 10 minute match time limit.
Stab-Out: (Team Slayer) - Players spawn with Energy Swords. Highest score after four rounds wins. Players have three lives each. Three minutes per round.
Flag Shottys: (Capture the Flag) - Players spawn with Shotguns, but no energy shields. First team to three flag captures wins. Your flag must be at home in order to score. 12 minute match time limit, granades on map.
Pit of Joy: (Team King of the Hill) - Players spawn with Energy Swords and 4x Overshields. Static Hill. First team to 150 (200 for Halo 3) points wins. 10 minute match time limit.
I also want Hog potato from Reach but it’s probably not possible in Halo 4
