I actually enjoyed Action Sack in Halo Reach, and I feel like they did do a better job in Reach of adding better gametypes. Halo 3’s were just kind of meeeh.
I believe Action Sack deserves its place in Halo 4 as well, but what I don’t want is just a couple of gametypes. I want Action Sack to be cluttered with different game modes. I mean the community deserves so much more credit for creating gametypes that have been entertaining Halo players for years, yet never make it to matchmaking.
Popular games like duck hunt, fat kid, trash compactor, jenga, and tremors are definitely a fit for Action Sack. Gathering a full custom game lobby is hard, but imagine being able to search for a full lobby and getting to play your favorite minigame?
I’d love to see Action Sack return, and not only that, but with gametypes the community has come to know and love!

I have to disagree with you. Action Sack in Halo: Reach was god-awful. I have never, to this date, had fun playing action sack in Halo: Reach. On the other hand, in Halo 3 I found that I was excited before every game. I had a blast playing Action Sack in Halo 3.
> That would be awesome. I’d love to see those gametypes in Action Sack. They’d be extremely fun. It’d probably get me playing the playlist for once.

> But not ‘fat kid’, that’s probably one of the most unbalanced gametypes in history and should be kept in customs.
it may have been unbalanced but it was a ton of fun

actually now that i think about your right it isn’t fun, what was i thinking

I agree with you completely. I know that I played a lot more Action Sack in Halo 3 than I did in Reach. There were more mini games in Halo 3, better maps, better gametypes, everything. Reach introduced some new stuff that is pretty fun, but for the most part, Action Sack isn’t really that good right now.

Well I kind of felt like the gametype variety wasn’t there in Halo 3. All I remember in Action Sack for Halo 3 is Splockets, the Zeus game, and dodgeball… It was alright, but wasn’t my type of games… Maybe dodgeball but that’s it.

I’d like to respectfully disagree. I’ve played a very fun and more balanced version of fat kid. Though I don’t believe the name of the game was fat kid, but it had the same concept.
The alpha zombie was not incredibly slow but not exactly normal pace, so it felt less like a snails crawl. The infected were fast but not lightning fast and instead of being instant kills they just had no shields. Along with these modifications, you need a really good map to complete the experience.

Even super-soldiers need to have fun every once in a while.

i didn’t even think of canonical aspect, but I like how the previous guy stated it. Spartans gotta have fun too!
I’ve always been incredibly disappointed in Reach’s Action Sack. There was so much untapped potential with the infinite forge and custom games options.
Yeah, Halo Ball and Hockey are cool a few times, but it’s not half as fun as Fiesta or Stickies. Games that you could build in 30 minutes that were incredibly fun were absent for some reason. Heck, Team Fiesta is simply Team Slayer with random weapon starts! That takes 5 seconds to build! I never understood that.

Note to self: snickerdoodle does NOT like fat kid.

It’s not fun if you are Infected at all. All it is is a bunch of Humans taking potshots at incredibly vulnerable zombies while watching the Fat Kid crawl inexorably towards them. Every time Fat Kid comes up in Reach or 3 I end up quitting.
