Here are some ideas for action sack, purely for fun.
1.)- Moa Racing
It’d be cool to have a gametype… where you ride moas! Each person has an energy sword, and can ride a moa. Like normal movement, but faster, and sometimes the moa may panic and start sprinting in a random direction. You must kill others by slicing them while on their moa. Ordnances include speed, damage, and health boost/overshield.
2.)- Flying
Well, not actual flying, but perhaps using a modified jet/thruster pack hybrid that keeps you high in the air and moves you at fast speeds. Players have melee/close combat weapons, and fly around in a 1st person view, aiming to kill one another. If you get hit badly, your jetpack malfunctions briefly and you spin in a random direction, and you must try to stay airborne or else have your body plummet to the ground.
Thoughts? Any other ideas?
With the hopes of a weapon like the sentinel beam sighs here we go :D.
Laser tag: Sent beam spawn insta kill if hit unlimited ammo(it overheats still) and decreased jump height and custom designed maps around this gametype.
I always look forward to the next Action Sack playlist. I love what it stands for. The creativity, irreverence, and, well, action makes it a great Halo experience.
More than anything I’d like to see vehicle games. I can only think of Team Sumo from Halo 3, Rocket Race, and Rocket Hog Race as pre-existing options.
Moa Race sounds awesome. Which reminds me of a joust idea- Mongoose teams where the passenger gets a Sword. Some creative scoring or map design, checkpoints etc. could make for a fun and fast game.
I absolutely LOVED Action Sack in Halo 3. Team Sumo, Grifball, and Zues were always my favorites. And as much as I despise Reach, it’s version of Action Sack was also fun. It’s funny how a shooters gameplay and mechanics can make it a great Skiball and Hockey game XD. I hope we see Action Sack in Halo 5 with more stuff. I would always be curious if they took racing to a new level and added powerups to turn it into Mario Kart. That was the one thing I will admit Halo 4 was missing. Features, the extra stuff to keep people coming back. I hope they are able to squeeze in some of that.
I am hoping the next Halo will have more features to add that can spice up the game more than added variants of slayer and CTF. But, if I were to make a gametype, I’m still advocating for my idea of a KotH/Juggarnaut game:
Angry King: The 2 Juggarnauts on the field are the Hills. Players fight over staying around them, avoiding death from both players and the Kings themselves. If a player makes it alive long enough to win the round, that player gets a point. If no one does, the Kings gets a point.
Kings are invincible, armed with a Hammer.
I’d like to see Hot Potato make it into Action Sack with Ro Sham Bo Hallway.
I agree 9000% with Moa racing.
We need innovative gametypes nowadays. Moa Racing is the perfect innovation to renew Halo.
How about they first make a ‘343’s Favourites’ section like Bungie and add in the most recommended games every two weeks?(obviously upon inspection)

Nothing says ‘innovation’ like being a cyborg super soldier riding a 7ft alien ostrich thingy!
