Thank you for bringing back the Sack! Good stuff!

I played a handful of games this evening and, other than the standard contingent of quitters and AFKs, everything worked well.

A few initial thoughts:

  1. Please make the playlist permanent.

  2. Post an in-game announcement that Action Sack is up and running. [edit - done, thank you!]

  3. Put together a Waypoint post describing the gametypes, settings and maps. [edit - done, thank you!]

  4. Team Swords - remove grenades.

  5. Shwatguns - remove grenades.

  6. Hammer Hill - remove grenades.

  7. If any playlist demands a party-up feature, it’s Action Sack.

I’ll post additional comments as I have a chance to play more and, hopefully, others will as well.

I know there are people begging to add Infection and griff ball to it. Honestly I hope it they don’t get added. Because everyone will vote for them and all the unique modes will go out the window as they will be passed up most the time for infection and Griff Ball.

I’m just wondering why the mode that was on Sandbox where one team was in the sky and the other was on the ground, and the ground team had to escort their VIP to the escort points isn’t in Action Sack.
Literally everything else that was on the 360 for both Halo 3 and Halo 4 are in here (which I’m extremely happy about, really makes me even more excited for Living Dead), but that mode isn’t. I’m just wondering why. Did they forget about it? Was there not enough space to add it? Or some gameplay-specific reason (if this one is the case, that’s just an unacceptable excuse)?

Anyways, outside of that, I am freaking love this playlist!
This will definitely hold me over for a good while until the Living Dead playlist finally comes out. I’ve been needing some kind of casual playlist for a good while now. Honestly getting sick of BRs 24/7. It’s nice to be able to chill back and just relax for once.

Also, I believe Blast Resort should be put into the Halo 2 Classic playlist.

also make team sumo more common, i’ve played action sack for more than 5 hours and it hasn’t come up once.

I would like them to add races to Action Sack. And not just rocket race.

See, I don’t get that. I wish that they would just make all playlists permanent and then add them when there are more.

This is not Team Action Sack. This is Team let’s vote for Shotty Snipers or whatever variant of this game type on whatever game convenient. I can’t count how many times I’ve played this game type in Action Sack. And even if it is not voted for it certainly takes up the space as an option to vote. Wasn’t this suppose to be non-traditional game types?

-Heavily lower the amount of times any variant of Shotty Snipers will show up in voting. Yes this includes Shotty Snipers, Binary Slayer, and Ninja Assassinations.

If it is not that, people are voting for only one other thing- a close range game type that only gives you a type of melee weapon or a type of shotgun.

I’ve even looked at Bravo’s post about all the different possibilities. Where’s my Husky Raid from Halo 4? That was fun. Where’s Gungoose CTF? That was fun. Where’s Splasers? That was fun. It is the same votes every time. If this is truly the case then Shotty Snipers needs its own playlists and it is far from non-traditional. This is a game-type that has been lingering around online since Halo 2.

Solution: Put more mix bagged games into Action Sack. I’m getting tired of playing the Team Snipers or Team CQC in Action Sack.

Don’t have the population for a game with that many playlists. Sorry, but the truth hurts.

Thanks again for rolling out Action Sack. A few additional thoughts to consider:

Observations/Comments

  1. Quitting is epidemic and sucks the fun out of the game.
  2. Weighting need to be rejigged. Certain game types crop up frequently, while others seldom appear. For example, Sumo and Husky Raid rarely come up for voting and Swhatguns excessively, etc.
  3. The playlist has an overpoweringly slayer-ish flavour that needs be toned down by zanier game types.

Remove

  1. Remove friendly fire and betrayal booting.
  2. Remove suicide penalties.
  3. Remove H2 Gold Rush.
  4. Remove H2 Blast Resort.
  5. Remove H2A Kill from the Hill.
  6. Remove H2A Gungoose CTF.
  7. Remove H4 Ninja Assassins.
  8. Remove grenades from H3 Team Swords, Hammer Hill and Swhatguns.

Add

  1. Add Fiesta to H2, H2A and H3.
  2. Add H3 Run for Cover on Zeus and put together a version in H2A.
  3. Add Dodgeball Arena to H3 Dodgeball.
  4. Add some community H2A, H3 and H4 mini-games.
  5. Add H3 Team Scuds.
  6. Add H4 Rocks and Rails.
  7. Add H2A Husky Raid.

I am just sick and tired of Halo 3 being included at all in anything.

Halo 3 does not count towards anything in the MCC. For whatever reason they decided not to add the new medals to it like the other games so basically a game of Halo 3 is a waste of time on the achievement front.

Also Gold Rush is one of the most stupid gametypes. Why do people vote that garbage?
