Action Sack Being Removed

Are you serious? Why are you even removing this? I find basic Reach boring and the only place I can actually have fun is in the ridiculous playlists.

The only reason the population is so low is because you stuffed it full of Slayer gametypes. Add some fun things like Dodgeball, Jenga, or Trash Compactor and maybe people would actually play.

Please vote if you think Action Sack should stay and maybe get some gametype updates.

Its a shame isnt it. if its this much of a wide concern dont remove it. They are getting rid of alot of fun playlists and they claim they dont have time to maintain them

There’s really nothing to maintain…

The biggest trouble is creating the playlist, but once it’s there it’s there.

I love action sack for things like Halo Ball(which should be included in griffball so i can still play it) but with all the slayer games i never get to play fun things like shotty snipers(which should have been in the team snipers playlist to begin with). Honestly all the playlist really need overhauls.

I want Blamite Fight…only needlers, 50% shields, and a whole load of pink mist.

If you don’t like normal reach then you might try multi-team, a lot of King of the Hill and Rocket Race if you like things like that.

I do wish that they would keep action sack and put fun gametypes in, there are a lot of great games I have seen that are strictly custom games, but would work out great for action sack.

I also wish that fun gametypes would be added to firefight, not just infinite ammo and lives.

What they needed to do was to remove stats from action sack so some really fun gametypes could have been added. Some of the custom games ive played would have been perfect for action sack but nobody would have played them because you are going to die in them and we couldn’t have peoples precious k/d bein dropped could we.

Look at halo 3’s action sack, you would die loads of times in some of them and not care as your stats wasn’t shown in game. Action sack in Halo 3 was fun and you was always gauranteed a good laugh which is what action sack should be about.

RIP ACTION SACK

Every time I played Action Sack I ended up playing Dino Blasters, which is the most awful abomination of a gametype I have ever seen.

Action Sack was no longer fun in Reach, as the gametypes seemed too oriented around things exploding. There was no focus on actually playing fun gametypes.

Did you play it much?

Honestly myself and my group of friends are screwed.

Boom Ball, Splockets, Speedpile/flag, Hog potato etc everything but halo ball/hockey and dino blasters were are favorites.

I forgot about Hog-potato. I want Action Sack to stay!

I found Action Sack a lot of fun and a nice change of pace. It’s sad to see it go.

Dumb move for action sack and FF doubles to be removed. What are you thinking???

Remove certain gametypes/variants, but NOT the whole freaking playlist. Come on!

Dino blasters and splockets were my fav choices in action sack. I want to bring a point out in the open: dino blasters or splockets was really handy when there was a challenge in multiplayer matchmaking like heavy ordinance distribution or something like that; a daily challenge that was get amount of kills in a MM game with ordinance heavy weaponry). Over and over when this came up people would betray each other 10x more than usual to get this challenge done. When this came up I would go into action sack and blast people away with the concussion rifle as a dinosaur and there would be no betrayals required. Or if people didn’t like dino’s they could play as a sparten with lasers or rockets. Good bye to a fun playlist hello betrayal sprees.

Seriously. Who ends finds this odd, 343 basically forced the awful TU update on every playlist. Now Super Slayer playlist is the EXACT!!! same as team slayer except TU but, has NEVER had a higher population than action sack playlist every day I check. Why is it the same god dam playlist but slightly tweaked mechanics stays but not action sack which is a great mix and has so many unique types?!

I’m never gonna let this die. Especially twitter, can 343 can’t do anything about what you say on twitter ^^

I agree Dino Blasters is horrid. I get it every time I go into Action Sack too…

splockets on uncaged? no thanks

343 can only ruin things after do something awesome

Reach is at the end of its’ lifespan. They looked at the playlists with the smallest populations, and did what they had to do. There are more than enough playlists anyway. I am sorry that you are upset, though.

We did what we had to do, for players, an entire four playlists eliminated, and the DLC playlist? We had no choice.

The Playlist consolidation, it’s finished.

Do I even need to finish it off? I think, no.
