Action Sack was the playlist I loved most in Halo 3. Unfortunately I have found Reach’s version quite bland. It is my belief that a few game modes that made it the crazy clusterbang it was in Halo 3 would fix this…
Dodgeball. Teams were pitted against each other in a dodgeball court with only sticky grenades and a Plasma Pistol. Many lolz were had.
Sumo. Players drove their warthogs off a jump into the arena to beat their opposition with hammers. The catch? The only way to kill someone was to push them off the edge. There was always that rush when you didn’t know if your driver was going to send you both straight to your deaths.
The spectator booths were also lovely touches.
Fiesta. Everyone has random weapons. Hell, lets throw some random Armor Abilities into the mix. Tiny maps are the most fun for this.
Halo Ball and Hockey are nice… for a bit. But more is needed. From Halo 3 and the crazy imaginations of the community in Reach.
Mas, mas, mas, por favor.
EDIT:
Jetpack Swords. Jetpack and Sword. Low gravity and unlimited armor ability usage makes this playlist amazing.
Golden Showers. Bottomless clip Focus Rifles. Everybody wins.
I love Action Sack in both Reach and H3, but Reach is… well… it’s lacking. I don’t see why Fiesta isn’t already an addition, seeing as how the option to spawn with random weapons exists in Customs.
I Think they should make a playlist where you can join OPEN custom game lobbies. I really hope they do this in Halo 4. I hate having to arrange game nights
loved H3 action sack. really sad there’s not team fiesta who didn’t love that gametype? it was awesome. and team stickies. those were my two favorites and neither is in the reach version. lame.

If by Custom you mean like Non Matchmaking or campaign then…it already exists you just have to setup your settings for it. If you mean for matchmaking then…Bad Very Bad Idea.
Part of what determines the amount of latency in a game is the Player connections, if people can join and leave at will then the game can/will cr@p itself far more.
> I wish they would take out team hotshots. I swear thats the only thing that comes up anymore.
If hotshots and Speedpile would go away forever and I would be more than happy.
> Fiesta Slayer would definitely be a nice and simple common gametype to put into the playlist.
>
> But no, what we really need is a comeback of H2’s Golden Showers. Bottomless Clip Focus Beams anyone?
There was this gametype I remember, not sure if it was in halo 3 or not, but you could only kill with sticky grenades. Tanks would fire at banshees and do nothing. Very fun.

Oh yes dodge ball and Fiesta were very fun in H3 :). Unfortunately, I could never play “Sumo”, as there are not a lot of people playing Action Sack in H3.
But yeah I agree with you, Action Sack in Reach just doesn’t add up to the fun of AS H3…
