Acquiring the Triple Double Medal.

I guess this isn’t so much an issue as it is a question. I understand that to acquire the Triple Double medal you need 10+ kills, 10+ assists, and 10+ headshots, as stated. The question concerns the “headshots” requirement. Do you need 10 headshots or do you need 10 headshot medals specifically? I ask this because I recently played a Big Team Battle game and thought I’d achieved all the requirements for the Triple Double medal. I had 30 kills, 10 assists, and 11 headshots in the game, but didn’t get the medal. What I did notice was that of those 11 headshots, I got 9 Headshot medals, 1 Sniper Headshot medal, and 1 Perfect Kill medal. So that leads me to believe that you specifically have to get 10 Headshot medals and that the other headshot medals (Sniper Headshot, Perfect Kill, etc.), though count towards your headshot count, do not factor in to acquiring the Triple Double medal.

Is it supposed to be this way? If so, I think the dialogue under the Triple Double medal needs to specifically state that you need 10 Headshot medals instead of just saying “headshots”. Or are Sniper Headshots, Perfect Kills, etc., which count as headshots, supposed to count towards getting the Triple Double medal?

This is interesting… Because I recall a game where I had about the same amount of kills as you. But I recall only seeing 9 headshot medals, then a few sniper headshots. Yet still got the “Triple Double”, I believe… It was recently so I will go through my games and link the game to this post.

So I was a little mistaken… 20 kills, NO idea on the assists… And random sniper and headshot medals.
5 Sniper Headshots, 6 Headshot Medals

This one is weird… Maybe the “Longshot” was a headshot?
2 Sniper Headshots, 7 Headshot Medals

I hope this helped answer your question!

Really, it confuses me a little more now. Here’s the game in question that made me ask about getting the Triple Double medal.
30 Kills, 10 Assists (though not shown since it’s not a slayer game), and 11 Headshots (9 Headshots, Sniper Headshot, Perfect Kill)

And a more recent game which I’m pretty sure I should have gotten the Triple Double medal.
18 Kills, 10 Assists, 18 Headshots

So perhaps there’s something I’m missing. Maybe I need more than 10 Kills, Assists, and Headshots?

Edit: Oh right. I forgot I can’t do hyperlinks in posts yet.

You all have to remember when figuring out the “logic” behind halo 5, that its developers are seemingly, for the most part, morons. 10 kills 10 assists or 10 headshots… NONE of these count towards a triple double because apparently the game’s creators were too dumb to realize that 10’s are double digit numbers. You have to get 11’s or higher in all 3 categories: kills, headshots, & assists, in order to qualify for a triple double… The guy who created the Triple Double medal is probably the same guy who created the aim system that is dramatically laggier than ANY OTHER GAME on xbox 360 or xbox one (I created a video showing the difference in input lag between halo 5 and call of duty… its astounding.)
You guys should hire me to manage your dev teams… I wouldn’t permit these kinds of failures to slip through the cracks.

To answer your question on the second one the perfects require a headshot. So they count.

More BS issues with Halo 5: damage is only calculated after death. I played a game recently and went 27-0 and the game claimed I did 0 damage… ridiculous. Who’s dumb ideas are these? How do they go unresolved 2 years and several updates after launch? good question… amateur.

I’ve gotten Triple Double 2-3x in the last month. I have used the sniper rifle for most of my headshots, so those count.
