Hello everyone! Recently there has been growing talk that Achilles has been bad for the Community, because it encourages Companies to farm and such. People tend to be very negative about just how bad the armor has made things!
I want to present the idea that it’s also done some good: good that cannot be ignored. I myself am a testament to that fact: a small Company I made in the hopes of getting the armor has grown to a Community numbering over 1800 people! I can’t be the only one: I’m sure countless people from all over the Community have grouped up in the hopes of getting this armor set. Achilles is forming Communities! And, no, they’re not all bad, either. Many are blossoming into places where players can play with new friends and tackle new and exciting challenges! Many are not harming the Halo community, but rather, expanding it!
So please, can we all agree that 343 implementing Achilles wasn’t such a terrible thing after all? If they didn’t, so many people would not have made acquaintances with the players they’re playing with now. We can’t let the reputation of the Achilles set be ruined just because a few people are engaging in exploits. Come on, let’s show some positivity about the armor set that’s brought so many people together!
Good luck with that bro. I’ve had only one bad experience in warzone with farming wasn’t very fun, You mentioned growing a community of over 1800 people, do you know how many people enjoy playing Halo 5? I believe 1800 is a small percentage.
There are fantics everywhere just remember you have to have a worthy opponent to make this all happen please don’t run the ones off from the game that are here for fun, sport and to be a better Spartans. Thanks.
I love these “we need achilles” clans. Who cares about playing together to have fun, or being social, or sharing common interests. join us so we can endlessly farm for some pixels together.

You’re making baseless assumptions now. We Need Achilles doesn’t partake in farming, we’re looking to get Achilles through normal, active playing.
Not to mention, we’re having fun, being social, and sharing the common interest of getting Achilles while doing it!
And that is how every Achilles Company is now seen because of how many times people were farmed, and how many times farmed people who wanted to just enjoy the game posted complaints - which you can’t blame.

I feel like this is unfortunately becoming the case. I just hope people realize not every Company is like that.

Being the first to obtain full Achilles I agree, I now have a friend base to play games with but even though I never farmed I will still always be hated. This community is full of salty people wanting to express rage over something that happened to them and probably not by (Whiskey)

I’m sorry to hear that, but not every Company is like that.
I feel like if you wore Achilles then you’d get a barrage of hate messages and reports. Just because people are jealous and mad about the farming. I’ve only been farmed a handful of times and I have a lot of warzone games played.

This is exactly what I’m worried about. I don’t want Achilles to be permanently marked for shame just because of the actions of a few groups…
I agree with the OP. My college buds and I made our Spartan Company when it first became available to do so. Initially, it was only meant to be between us; we were about 12 members, at the time. With the Achilles challenge, our company has grown, and I enjoy playing with them. Our company isn’t about the grind; I’ve made that clear to our members. We’re about meeting new people and having fun. It’s a shame that some of the “top” companies are ruining the reputation this feature.

My company was like that as well. It kinda sucks how an armor set changed and divided a big community of people. That’s why I wish that 343 would just make it to were you could get the set of armor through Req packs.

When ever I read stuff like this I imagine the people farming saying “maybe a gril will finally like me when I show her how much time I put into getting this awesome armor” makes me smile every time

^ Exactly this. I’d like it if people don’t think someone took part in farming just because they have Achilles.
