Because they assume those who have it farmed warzone for it.
Havenāt had this issue yet. But exactly what Lethal said. There a stigma related to the armor. Who cares though? If youāre proud of it then wear it with pride.

For many its a symbol of many who wrecked WZ experiences. And many might have grinded for it, but it was never hard. Not saying you did this, but thats the reason.

^^^ Main reason I donāt wanna see it in my armory. The Achilles armor set and helmet donāt have the best reputation.
Seeing this armor just triggers so many people because they get flashbacks from farmers.
Iāve never had a single message about my helmet and I earned it with Fireteam Adamant back in early July. I guess you just got unlucky and ran into some salty players.
I mainly receive compliments and āah man where did you get that helmet?ā. Nobody has went to jump at me in a negative way. Perhaps they are just jealous. I meanā¦it is a highly sought after piece of armor.
I think other players assume that Achilles has come to represent the āMLG, DORITOS, xxx360 N0-SCOPExxx, MOUNTAIN DEW !ā portion of the Halo population. I donāt feel that way specifically, although I have to admit that if I see an enemy with Achilles, I do go slightly farther out of my way to kill them. What I really canāt stand is that stinkinā FOTUS helmet. I hate frigginā unicorns!
I ignore it cuz it just means the whiners donāt have their priorities straight. A cosmetic should be the least of peopleās worries, not to mention they just follow the bind path of assumption and call anyone and everyone a farmer.
Our company is close to getting the helmet. Alas, I donāt think I have the heart to wear it, for I am sporting the helmet that bears my name. Anubis.
Because that armor destroyed fun for a lot of people. Bad WZ and BTB experiences, most companies were farming a lot to get that.
ill be honest, i have sent hate messages but not as bad as u described, but i wait till the games over and see if they completely wrecked our team or not, and if so i assumed they farm, and so far mostly every person i seen with achilles is honestly a tryhard and -Yoink!- and just be a -Yoink- but im not saying you are
Because Achilles is one of the reasons this game lost population. Farmers wanted Achilles, people left because they didnāt want every game to be a farm fest, then they went to BTB when the 6 man limit was put on them.
Iād say more about that, but last time I did I was banned.

This is it. They are jealous. That and people can be nasty online anyway. I wouldnāt worry too much about it; just report and move on.
Iāll defiantely go out of my way to kill Achilles players, just to tell if theyāre good and earned it, or if they suck and farmed for it, itās usually the later of the 2 options.
I get teabagged almost every game lol and get messages from people. Youāll just have to get used to it
I usually donāt pay attention to Achilles, itās really hideous so I just look at the team color and shoot. There are people whove earned legitimately though, so no disrespect towards those people.

i -Yoink!- people with achilles helmet and vigilant armor (i hate armor combo idk why) and i -Yoink!- clans lol
Usually every WZ game has at least two or three spartans wearing the armor. Months ago, when we first got the armor, I felt there was some hate, but many more spartans have it now, so it stopped.
Iāve never had this backlash before itās strange lol
