Can you unlock the Achilles Armour by opening by Gold Req Packs or do you have to complete some of the commendations to unlock it. If I were to complete some of the commendation, is it easy to do it with people or is it easy to do it alone.
It can only be unlocked by belonging to a Spartan Company that completes various commendations:

The only way to get Achilles is by joining a Spartan Company, then completing the Kill commendations.
Complete Level 3 for the armor, and complete Level 5 for the helmet. Of course, it won’t be easy.
Rarely, however, a generous Spartan Company will give out Achilles to those who join them in time just before they unlock the armor / helmet. But there is usually a very steep requirement prior to joining.
