Dose anyone think that the Achilles armor should be changed to you completing your commendations?
No. I joined one of the Spartan companies shooting for the armor and we’ve already hit past level two of all the commendations. The Achilles armor is meant to promote Spartan company activity and it is doing just that. I have already added like 13 or 14 friends based off of my Spartan company and will most definitely add more. Honestly I think the entire purpose of Achilles is to promote teamwork and I think that’s extremely commendable for a developer to implement. Cheers to 343 for supporting teamwork. In advance, -Yoink- all the haters, call me a fanboy all you want, I’m having fun.

Achilles is a famous Ancient Greek warrior
While he is known for his individual prowess in battle , the Greeks , primarily Spartans are known for their teamwork
A famous example of this is the Battle of Thermopylae (the 300 Spartans vs the Persians).
Hence i can understand why something inspired by a culture focused on teamwork , requires team work to acquire.
This being said i think it would be an awesome idea to have armor for your own commendations
This could be the Achilles armor (as known for individual skill) , and the current Achilles armor could be called the Leonidas armor or something similar
Admittedly this is a bit late to introduce , but still a good idea .

While i agree with your point , i love how its promoted the Spartan Companies
It would be nice to be able to still do it with a smaller company , as i had to leave my old company as there were only really 2 active members making it nearly impossible to achieve
But im pleased with how 343i is operating things and it is clear they are pushing us to be more social which is a good thing, even if people dont like it
The requirements should just be scaled to how many people are in your spartan company, feels more like a grind to me when I don’t have dozens of players all consistently playing.
I love it plus I think that one challenge to set out is the didact’s armour for everything in the company what to do is to have an armour for every commendation and then once they are all completed you recive the didact’s armour

I agree this would be ideal for my previous circumstances , but its forcing people to go out and meet new people (so overall a good thing)
Also it could be seen as a little annoying for those who contribute a lot (play everyday) as they are giving others an armor for free (some people might not even play the game , or once a month).
Although there isnt really a way to change this

you’re forgetting the battle of thermopylae was not just 300 spartans but also around 7,000 greeks marched as well. Just a quick fact check. I personally think promoting community interaction through armor is great, i also believe that they should create a couple armor sets tied to personal commendations.

I do know it wasnt just 300 Spartans, but if you ask Average Joe , what the Battle of Thermopylae is he probably wouldnt know. However if you asked if he knew about the movie 300, or something about a battle where there were 300 people vs a lot , he might.
But thank you for your comment none the less as there would be people who thought it was only the 300 Spartans (quite a common misunderstanding)
