I guess I need a little bit of clarification here, so if anyone can help it’d be appreciated. First off, When I saw the helmet, I was Overjoyed! this is the first helmet that doesn’t follow the preset type of molds, it’s unique in every way. But to read that it is classified as only Ultra Rare after the “said” requirements, I’m completely baffled. I’ve read that I have to stick with my Spartan company to achieve it, but what if my company as a whole isn’t the type of player that I myself am. So I’m to sit around or try to encourage my team to get with the program, or just start removing people that seemed to play a lot and was working toward a goal, and then suddenly stopped. So we have two companies expanding into a third now, which tells me again that I have to trim the count, or wait and never receive it.
I’m kind of at a loss here, sticking by my homies, or cut bait and run. Also the descriptions are a little vague, “Kill” commendations, there isn’t a title Commendation labeled “kill”, just the sub category, is that what they mean for access, because weapons and enemies both have the same sub category.
Really at a conundrum here and would like it explained a little better. Below is what I’ve found in the Waypoint to state the guidelines:
Armor: Only Spartans who have mastered themselves, bound their wrath and passion within a shell of hyperdense steel fueled by starfire, are granted access to the ACHILLES. Lesser warriors will lose themselves in a storm of blood.
To receive this armor your Spartan Company must achieve Level 3 in all Kill Commendations.
Helmet: The AI that lies within the branching lattice of the ACHILLES’ neural interface gnaws at the mind of its partner. No Spartan can stand alone against its urgings of unbridled excess, but through bonds of loyalty and duty they can be held at bay.
Spartan Companies must achieve Level 5 in all Kill Commendations to receive this helmet.
Armors are less recognizable in-game than helmets, so I can achieve the armor, no problem, but again, it’s a coveted helmet that I want and that states “Spartan Companies”, if this is true, then there will be a whole plethora of new companies starting up and clogging up the works to attain this, or should we go through our lists and start kicking inactive players…
Just ramblings of the Clone, but would like some discussion.
Thanks for your time.
It deserves to be mythic like the MCC unlockeables
I have many similar questions. I wish there was much deeper clarification on this topic…
Seems pretty cut in dry in explination to me. it specifically says for armor 3/5 in all company kill commendations. That means in the kill company commendation catagory all the commendations need to be at 3/5 and same for helmet for 5/5.

You should join a company that is FILLED with active Spartans! I decided to do such since my clan (filled with friends from the non digital world) don’t play Halo that much. Wander over to the recruitment forums and I’m sure you’ll find a company with similar goals and playtime.
