Well Hello there. So the new Achilles Armor set has been causing a lot of people to join an advanced “Spartan Company” for more chances of getting it “fast”.
And that’s my case, you see… I recently joined a Spartan Company that I really like, I’m not gonna lie I joined because they’re pretty close to get the level 5 on all Kill comendations. But I decided to stay in it even after the Armor set is given because I really liked the company.
Yes, I heard about the details on how to get the Achilles Armor set, and that’s where my question comes in.
I know that the company must reach Level 3 on all Kill commendations to get the Armor piece, and Level 5 to get the helmet. But that’s kinda the problem.
I joined this company when all the commendations were on level 3 or above. So that means… Am I getting the Armor piece? or am I getting just the helmet?
Because i heard someone say that “You’ll need to be on your company at the moment they reach level 3” and I wasn’t in the company at that time, so I’m not getting the Armor piece?
I thought it was only you need to have level 3 kill commendations so only you get the armor. Then if you get all 5, your team will get the helmet. If that is true, my question is will I get the armor if I already have the commendations?
From the community update:
“Note that you have to be a member of the Company at the moment when the award is given to earn the goodies. So if you want it, you’ll need to join a Company that does not yet have the armor or helmet.”
That should answer your question.

It is in some kind going to be earn? The update hasn’t release yet and he has join a SC before the update which means he should receive it even though he didn’t contribute to getting level 3?
I would say YES you will receive it because you are in a company level 3 and above by the time the update comes out

Yeah it’d be a bad move on 343i’s end to not award the armor to people who’ve completed the commendations well before the armor came out.
Well since the armor actually hasn’t been given out yet because the update still hasn’t came you should be fine silejra.

But what he meant is that he didn’t even help the SC get to kill commendation level 3
Anyone else kinda feel like this splits the community abit?
You can start many people that way but in the end the ties of friendship are stronger than personal interest <3

No! Only available with Spartan Company commendations
Once you get the helmet you can join ours to get the body. It’s called The Achilles Project. It’s going to stay active after the armour is earned so we can get other armours that are unlocked in the same way. Just message me or request to join.

I’m curious to know if I would also recieve the armor even though I wasn’t there when they got those commendations to level three, anyone know?
You Just have to be in the company when THE FINAL commendation gets to level 3. This is usually first strikes
