Being a Halo Achievement Hunter myself, I hope Halo Infinite has chevos that are really really hard to get and if you do manage to get them you get an awesome reward for your hard work.
The VIDMASTER chevos in Halo 3: ODST are exactly what Halo Infinite needs. The achievements in Halo 4 and Halo 5 were too easy and once you got them all the fun was over.
Halo Infinite needs achievements that either take span across a couple of months or are super hard to get.
And please if Halo Infinite will have skulls, hide them good. I don’t want it to be too easy for us.
I’m totally with you here. One of my faves was the “if they came to hear me beg” achievement in Reach.
Took so many tries to get it. The amount of times I’ve heard Carter say “Stay low, let me draw the heat, just deliver that package” (and I didn’t even have to google that quote, it’s just been engrained into my brain from jumping off of that cliff and reverting to the checkpoint over and over again).

Ya that one took me like jumps to get it, but still too easy.
Did you ever do the vidmasters on ODST?
I want some hard multiplayer achievements that 3 and Reach had so we can grind to get them. Bring back lone wolves double spartan laser kill please.
As long as we’re not talking Monopolized or Halo 2 IWHBYD levels of difficulty I would love to see some tougher achievements in Infinite. Maybe have a speedrun achievement like the MCC has for its campaigns, or maybe have you do something like bring a Warthog from the start of a level to the finish on Legendary.

I think I did the no shots one, the others required 4 player online coop, I didn’t have that many friends on Xbox live who played Halo, and those that did didn’t have ODST.

I read that quote in Carter’s voice with his exact cadence lol. That achievement was a very satisfying unlock.
I hope to see achievements like what we saw in MCC, except for the speedrun and LASO ones. Going for and getting them all was both enjoyable and challenging. There was a good mix of your traditional “complete x level” and Easter egg ones that weren’t simple gimmes. The Easter egg ones allowed me to appreciate the classic games even more! I am glad they included the Vidmasters and I hope we get some for Infinite as well. What I don’t want to see is 100+ collectibles like in Halo 5. Halo’s been one of the few games where collectibles (skulls) are useful and not simply there for busy work and I hope Infinite reverts to that ideology. Lastly, the Reach achievements did it right for the MP side of things: simple achievements that don’t detract from the objective, but require you to play well to unlock. I cannot stand MP achievements that require you to do stupid things like pick up weapon y and get a killionaire with it (this has never been a thing in Halo, but I am simply trying to make a point). Everyone tries to focus on doing that makes the online experience frustrating.
