I understand this has been posted about a billion times and I’m beating a dead horse but I just need to vent. I signed for for Xbox Game Pass specifically for Halo 5 since I haven’t gotten to play it yet. I played through the game once on Normal to get a feel for it and then I did a Legendary run while collecting all the skulls and intel. This game was absolutely annoying to play on Legendary. After 1 day and 7 hours gametime of yelling at my tv I finally beat it. Only to be very disappointed at the fact that not one but THREE achievements didn’t unlock. Heroes Rise, Forging A Legend, and Lone Wolf all should have unlocked but yet they all say 93%. You would think that after being out for almost 2 years 343 would have fixed this. Halo is the reason I started playing Xbox when I was young. This is an absolute slap to the face. If anyone has found out how to fix this please let me know.
Yeah these server side achievements are yoink! Make you watch the cut scenes all the way through as some times skipping them can cause it not to register as complete.
Also make sure you don’t use any skulls that cancels out the achievements.
I didn’t use any skulls. I did skip some cut scenes though. If that is the reason then I can just go ahead and say that 343 is the most incompetent game company instead of EA.
The entire Achievement system on the XBone is broken. Even though I did have more issues with 343 games than any other title in the past, it’s hard to blame them for not delivering good quality with such a messy framework.
Also, did you at any point lose internet connection? While most games at least track the progress locally, so that the achievements can unlock once you connect to XBL and the data gets synchronized, H5G seems to not give a damn. I always play games offline the first time, because I don’t want any interruptions from messages or party invites when I try to get immersted in the story (Yeah, good luck with that in H5G) and none of the achievements I did offline were even registered… including the 100% collectibels.
Have you hard restarted your game? Also, if you went offline during for any chance you might play through it again or play a mission or two on easy. I had to do that with MCC to get achievements to pop when I was waiting on a new internet service.
Nope, I never lost internet connection. I guess I’m going to try and play through it again without skipping the cut scenes and see what happens.
I think I’ve found your problem. I was having a look at the number of times you completed each mission, and every one has at least 2 completions (presumably Normal and Legendary as you describe), apart from “ENEMY LINES”, which only has one completion. I believe when you went through this one on legendary it didn’t register (only registered on nornal). Additionally, there are 15 missions, and completing 14 of them would give you the 93%.
Therefore, I believe if you just complete “ENEMY LINES” on legendary then that should solve the problem.
I was just looking at that and it says I have one completion for Unconfirmed as well as Enemy lines. I’ll try and play them both to see what happens.
So, I went back and completed Unconfirmed on Legendary again and then the achievements popped up. I wonder if the result would have been the same if I had replayed enemy lines instead since it only registered one completion as well.
