I started playing Halo: Reach on launch day, September 14th, 2010, having pre-ordered the game after 2 years and 8,900 games in Halo 3’s multiplayer, and unlocking every achievement in both Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST, and receiving Recon for playing in the Community Forge playlist on Bungie Day 2009. And now, almost years later, on the morning of June 17th, 2018, I unlocked Halo: Reach’s greatest prize.
I am now an Inheritor.
I want to point out that I got there without boosting Grifball. The last couple months of getting my rank from Forerunner to Inheritor were spent in Score Attack, Living Dead, and SWAT, completing as many daily and weekly challenges as I could to reach my endgame. Halo: Reach is my favorite Halo game of all time, despite it’s flaws, and it’s given me as many fond memories as Halo 3. I hope 343 Industries takes the best aspects of Halo: Reach, like the art style, armor customization, Forge World, and highly-customizable Firefight mode, and puts them in Halo: Infinite.
