Wouldn’t that be cool? Complete the whole campaign on Legendary and unlock the “Legendary” armor. Use only the magnum for a whole campaign mission to unlock “Rogue” body armor, etc. Completing acheivements both in multiplayer and campaign should unlock armor that would otherwise be unable to be purchased. (Or, get armor pieces for free that would normally cost an arm and a leg.) I think Bungie did it in Halo 3 to unlock pieces like Hayabusa for spartans and Astetic for Elites. It would be cool to show off my “unique” armor and also show people my prowess in Campaign, spartan ops, etc. because itI could only bebe acquired that way. What do you think?
Depends on the achievements. If its anything near the part where players need to use a Spartan laser to kill 2 guys with 1 shot in a FFA match, I’m against it. I do not want to every go out of my way from playing a multiplayer match normally to get an achievement that would require a huge amount of luck to pull it off.
Campaign achievements are cool. Keep them within the realm of PROBABILITY, not Possibility, if you want to make multiplayer achievements to unlock stuff.
Campaign would be where the majority of it happens. Only a select multiplayer achievements would do it, and they would be the ones based on skill, not luck.
AND the armor involved would be nothing too crucial (or special, assuming that the “armor affects gameplay now” is true) that would promote boosting.
Campaign and Spartan-Ops maybe, not matchmaking though. As we learned from Halo 3, unlocking stuff through achievements only promotes boosting. There shouldn’t even be any multiplayer achievements at all, whether it be for unlocks or not.
