I need help I’ve been playing for about a month and I’ve tried alot of tips and tactics and nothing helps I need some new ways to get my accuracy up and ways to help my movement in a game
Practice makes perfect, play an octagon whenever you get online before anything else. Aim for the body and work your shots up to the head and make shure you focus on the inner circle of the reticle

It’s a game variant and map variant meant to help you get your shots (warm you up) it’s in the shape of an octagon open spawns so to stay alive you need to strafe while shooting
best for a 1 on 1 warm up

You need to search for it in the customs browser and after you can save the map/game type for later.

Uh I’m not sure how to find a mode if it’s not on a friend
Ok thanks
Just go to custom browser and search the map “octagon” then choose a regular Slayer game mode and tune the settings to how long you want it to last or how many kills you want it to go to
Yeah, Octagon is definitely the way to go. I’d also check out some YouTubers like Proximity and LukeTheNotable. They give good advice.

Thanks.
Thanks for suggesting octagon i played for about 20 minutes and i can already tell my shots better
I would start with going into your look sensitivity in the settings. Identify if you’re a close range or long range player. People who play arena tend to be close range while people who play warzone tend to be long range. I prefer warzone so I play on a slower sensitivity of 3 and a look acceleration of 1. Many of my arena friends play on 4 or even 5 sensitivity, and higher accelerations. Next I would check your inner and outer deadzones in your halo controller settings and set them both to zero. If you experience your crosshair or your spartan moving by themselves then turn up your inner dead zone by increments of 1% until it stops
Putting XLR8’s words into a nutshell, it’s best to know what kind of playstyle you prefer the most. If you’re the type who likes getting into the fray in a tight spot, higher sensitivities are the way to go. But if you’re on the opposite end of the spectrum where you prefer to fight from a safe distance - sniping people with a sniper rifle - then lower sensitivities might be better for you.
I play on the highest possible sensitivity settings all the time and I don’t have too much trouble transitioning from long range to close range in an instant.

Same for me I play on 10 sensitivity 5 acceleration my friends say I’m crazy but I say they need to make it faster and have 15 as an option

Can agree, I played as high as I could but it still felt slow. Need to bump those options up more…
Idk how I like to play yet I don’t love up close but I like sniping I just suck at it but with my sensitivity so low for octagon it screwed me over a few times I think I like medium range my sensitivity was at 2 so Imma bump it up to 4 or 5
