I’d love to play the flight, but sadly even after acquiring the key from Steam, downloading the build, and making sure I was in the right time and using the correct account to sign in, somehow the game still says that I’m not authorized to play. I restarted the game, Steam, my computer and even made a full shut-down to no avail. I hear that this has also been happening to a lot of other players as well. I’m understandably upset that I will be missing out on this flight. I was looking forward to testing the game out.
Not sure if this applies to your situation with steam…
but I had the same problem on Xbox.
I was signed into multiple accounts, and it didn’t work until I only signed into my account that was authorized. (Signed out of all the others)

I have the same issue on steam.
All I can think of is that my main email (gmail) is set as the notification email for halo waypoint, not my microsoft email (hotmail). Otherwise that same Microsoft account has been attached to Halo since it was with bungie on Xbox 360, and been invited to multiple MCC flights via steam now.
Reading the forums, seems the game is a hot mess. Delayed for a year, and now 2 months out from release the actual game is full of bugs seeing gameplay available on the net.
In our case, we can’t even get in to the game and there’s heaps of others complaining of the same issue. There are even players who are saying they’ve been banned for no reason.
This is the exact experience you’d expect from a hot mess, and not a properly coded game. End of the day Halo’s been passed around like a used rag between publishers and is now using Microsoft Windows Store login which has major cross-platform issues with steam.
Obviously consistency isn’t a thing for 343, you’d expect the beta to be done through Xbox app on PC with all the Microsoft stuff but instead it’s done via steam which has issues working with Windows game store based games already.
