Co-op is a “gamemode”
And co-op is slated for season 2
Forge slated for season 3.
But here’s the kicker. There is no hard date meaning they could come at any time. We could be waiting for longer than we might thought

My Girlfriend and I have held off campaign specifically so we can play co-op together. We’ve been spoiler dodging for 3 months now until May.
If we have to wait any longer we might as well uninstall.
You know you can play campaign co-op on split screen if you and your gf wanted to? Spoiler alert: the campaign is a bit boring tbh.
Or, on an irrationally optimistic note, they could come sooner. But I won’t die on that hill.
I honestly think the co-op campaign is going to be missing most of the open world. I hope I’m wrong but I see it being like classic Halos where you end up with a list of levels that will only include the base missions.
Imagine it ends up like ODST where if you decide to replay a level it essentially wipes your campaign progress.
