I was trying to access file share videos to make a video and was wondering if there was a way to access the videos on waypoint at all… I haven’t seen anything about that here on waypoint.

Theater Films aren’t actually videos. When you “watch” one, the game isn’t playing a video; it’s actually taking everything that happened in the match, and making it all happen again for you to see.
What that means is that it takes some special tech to convert a Theater file into an actual video. Bungie had to custom-build that tech for Halo 3 and Reach, and from what I’ve heard, they were never required to hand that code over to 343i. 343 themselves don’t have time to write their own version. Sorry, mate. :\

so the film option on my file share is absolutely useless. woo go 343 for keeping doing the best work possible just like the excellent Tu work on reach (sarcasm by the way).

It’s anything but useless. You can still share them with friends who own Reach. Plus, it’s not like they can just conjure up a magic button that when you press, automatically renders your films. Bungie didn’t have to hand the rendering system over, so 343 would have had to create one from scratch. However, they are hard at work making Halo 4 the best possible game.
