This was an awesome feature in Halo 3, while you were waiting in a matchmade lobby you could look at other players file shares and view/download their screenshots, Maps, Custom games, and Films from theater. I was really sad when this got taken out of reach and had some hope for its return in Halo 4 but sadley it did not. Being able to open a file share should be as simple as checking somebodys service record in the lobby.
This was the main way maps, clips, and screenshots (especially screenshots) got around in Halo 3. This was also a great timekiller while you were waiting for the map to load. Bungie had a file browser on their site but people barley used it just like people barley used the file browser on Reach.
Would anyone else like to see this return?
Agreed. It’s how Custom Games spread like wildfire in Halo 3! And without the File Browser working, it’s really putting a damper on the Custom Games community.

I remember complaining about this in Halo: Reach. It was one of my favorite things to do, look at the screenshots someone put in their file share and maybe even download a map if it sounded interesting.
You can view people’s file share post game, however.

Thats kind of a pain in rear end though. That also proves that this is an entirely possible request.
