You remember in Halo: Reach, we were given access to Firefight voices: Southern American GySgt. Pete Stacker, European Jorge-052, Russian Kat-320. But for Spartan Ops, if we get any speaking roles, I want to go a little farther: accents, rather than voices. Not saying we should have 392 seperate voices for males and females, but rather, five accents for each gender, similar to Saints Row: The Third. Thoughts and opinions?
Suggestions (w/ reccomended voice actors and personalities):
Male - Northern American (Richard Kruspe; overconfident, some signs of narcissism)
Male - Southern American (Ron White; “everyone’s favorite redneck uncle”)
Male - Italian (whoever could sound like an Italian mobster; Italian mobster)
Male - German (Till Lindemann; by-the-book soldier)
Male - Russian (Zlatko Burić; bloodthirsty)
Male - Swedish (Felix Kjellberg; brave facade, cowardly interior)
Female - American (Otep Shamaya; bookworm, a Simone Cole-esque figure (see Clive Barker’s Jericho))
Female - Hispanic (don’t know any; organized crime boss)
Female - French (Sylvie Testud; tease)
Female - British (Emma Watson*
*; same personality as German)

Oh yeah, they should also have Lopez, complete with English subtitles.
I think every nation (or area) you described meets with their stereotypes.
But i will give you props for including Emma Watson. I dont care if I am american, she’s still my favorite actress.

Hey, at least it’s not Hetalia.
Bizarre stereotypes from OP’s odd brains: the devolution of voices with character.
No thanks, I don’t need any more stuff to buy with Spartan Bux, and I’d prefer voices of characters from the actual universe to generic typecast roles. Try harder next time.
I think this is a great idea! Although being from New Zealand I would have to demand a Kiwi accent that would use these words in some form or another: bro, chur, jandles, fish and chips, mate, and All Blacks

Implying they have to cost “Spartan Bux”? And the regular stuff got bland after a while. Accents would just add a little more character, which is what customization is about. Besides, it’s better than begging 343i to turn the BR into a planet destroyer.
I just want to play as nathan fillion…
Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill

That was actually the first thing that came to mind when i read it. LOL
Honestly I’d rather have personalities rather than characters. It defeats the purpose of trying to make YOUR character which Reach tried to achieve. To top that you don’t feel like someone else unless you have the same armor customization. As for accents I think it would be a waste of resources seeing as audio files take up a lot of space and you’d essential have the same dialogue. But if you have accents with personalities then I can see it working. BTW. For personalities I mean you’d pick something like crazy, calm, ruthless, etc. And your dialogue would reflect that.
FPSRussia, everytime. Or Nico Bellic from GTA IV.
What’s with the weird stereotypes/characters? Also why no British male accent?
All that aside I’m against this idea. Too complicated. If FF voices exist in H4 they should just expand the stable and include some more characters that is it. If you don’t like it then just keep the default voice (which is probably not going be very verbose).
British…? We have literally hundreds of different accents from four countries. It should be…
Cockney (Stereotype): English
North-Eastern (Newcastle/Sunderland) [I’d be using this]: English
Yorkshire: English
Scottish
Gaelic Welsh
Welsh
Irish
Northern Irish (Yes there is a difference!)
British male: vinnie Jones. Nuff said.

Every country has hundreds of regional accents. Which is exactly why this idea can’t work. The “British” accent would either be angry cockney or reserved BBC presenter.
It would be cool, but it’s not going to happen. Too expensive to hire all those people.

FFS -_-
There isn’t a British accent. There’s English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish. All of which are DRAMATICALLY different. That’s like me saying ‘well, we can just have one voice actor for Canadian, American and Mexican Spartans, because they’re all in the smae place in the world.’
