yeah I think most had no trouble with downloading the game itself. Just the offline issue
I have the same stupid issue. I bought the game so i could have the campaign offline, internet went out…I can’t even play Skyrim which I’ve owned forever without a DRM check…coward Corporate pigs.

yeah pretty terrible practice for sure. The trouble is most people don’t even know it’s a thing but they better start waking up to it if they care for these games otherwise it’s just going to continue. The idea that MS is all out for the gamer when they’re sneaking this practice in despite the games playing absolutely fine offline is shameless

I don’t understand why you guys keep having this issue. I haven’t had any sort of internet connection whatsoever since Christmas day and I’m playing all of my games ,including halo infinite campaign, perfectly fine while completely offline on my xbox series S. I live in a rural area so internet is absolutely not an option for me at all (I’m currently using halo waypoint on my cellphone). I have yet to run into any sort of drm check.

lol you must have a special machine my friend. It’s simply part of the code that 343 has implemented. Perhaps it’s glitched on your machine

Can you prove to me that this is part of the code 343 implemented? Or do you simply believe that because you and a few others are experiencing this issue? Pretty sure my machine isn’t glitching. I’m pretty certain there’s nothing special about mine. I say this because I tested this with another machine at my house about 2 days ago. Still had no problems firing up campaign. Sounds like your machines might be glitching bud
well who knows. Certainly 343 ain’t addressing it. I certainly don’t know your end but I’m sceptical of what you say for exactly that reason. Would love to be proven wrong

hmm yeah that would be good. To see this working means it can maybe be brought forward as an issue that exists for some people. What of the existing 24 DRM that someone pointed though? but yeah I think that could be incredibly helpful… I’m getting a friend to try his digital purchase this week too so it will be interesting to see his findings. Remember it’s the digital download and not the dvd version that I am referring to

Ok so I was able to get it to work offline, but with some steps, and I don’t know how long it will continue to work:
Set your Xbox to Instant On mode.
Boot up Halo Infinite with an active internet connection. Make sure it logs you in and select the Campaign.
Now go to settings->Network and set it to Offline. I am able to run the Campaign offline this way.
Again, I don’t know how long this will last, but I’ll report back when it stops working, if I can. If I’m out to sea I’ll have to wait until I’m back inport.
Also, 343, if you are reading this, please, PLEASE, release an update allowing us to play this offline. I’m in the U.S Navy, and I deploy on a ship that has no way to get outside internet to personal devices. There are others in similar situations, either in other services and branches (Army, Marines. Air Force) or in areas which don’t have consistent internet. And for the record: I am asking for offline play for countries and militaries all over the world, not just the U.S.A.
Please correct this and make the Campaign playable offline. No other Halo game in history has had DRM, and let’s face it, most consumers don’t pirate games because it’s just too hard. We paid for the game. Please fix this.

The actual starting of the campaign is not a problem as you have already said if you’re able to access internet to allow for validation and then even go offline with it. The bigger problem lies in booting while in offline because it has to reach out to validate requiring you be online. And you can play the whole thing offline once validated but the there’s a 24hour DRM in place after this and for every time you turn your machine on in offline mode. Playing offline but first requiring to be online to do so is Ludicrous obviously and frustrating considering we can play all our Halo campaigns just fine this way offline when xbox is set to home
Your situation is a little different I would say than the one being talked about here in that you can’t access internet but it’s still critical for playing and so thanks for contributing this other side. My problem is to do with being able to play Infinite campaign down the line potentially if validation regardless of if people with internet or not can be accessed . Either way it’s a ridiculous situation they have imposed because it simply isn’t necessary

I’m having the same problem and it’s just annoying, cause it’s seems like it’s a glitch with the whole buy the game screen, even thou I have a bank statement with the purchase.
Plus previous halo games including halo 5 you where able to play them without a connection no problem, even mcc was normal.

yup totally unacceptable given it doesn’t even need to be online and as you say, all the previous Halo campaigns are accessible 100% all of the time while offline. A disgrace

it certainly beggars belief especially as the one thing you can bizarrely do now is play offline bots. Glad there are people speaking up over this. God knows what Forge is going to be if it’s building on this principle. Hold on to your wallets folks

yeah I think we can all agree to that. There’s simply no point for campaign to be this way which is so baffling to me. We’ve made the purchase so let me play it the way I can with all the other campaigns

Just tried to do the drm check by going online first and then offline and now that doesn’t even work it just prompted me to buy the game. This game is crap
