Something tells me the inability to see the water makes the game lag much less. It’s just a guess but I’m not certain. Either way I’m fairly excited to forge on and around the smallest island. I want to make a spiritual successor to Ascension.

Youu know i gotta kick out of your thread title. Its true. I was expecting forge maps like Hemorrhage and Paradiso. I am not to fond with the three Forge Island maps. I should call them Three mile islands.
WHile I’d have liked shores for the islands, having them high in the air allows for us to build off the sides of them. So there is MUCH potential there.
Also, it’s been confirmed by a tweet by Kevin Franklin that you can build on the water and not die when you touch the surface of it.

Yeah, I think the term he meant to use was decapitated, but it’s close enough-ish!
I believe they probably went with this style to give a good sense or style or verticality with Forged maps.
Making things running up the side or big spirals or bases sticking out of the rocks. There is more potential than a flat island slightly above water level with this.
