About the "Team Fury/Demon" thing... IDEA!

I’d much rather them allow us the opportunity to create our own teams ahead of time, if even just for parties and such.

In other words, me and 3 friends create a team, party up, and go into matchmaking, and it uses OUR team name. If I’m alone, and 3 other randoms are matched up with me for my team, the team name is random.

Also, that would lend itself to a real “team tournament” style playlist, where you HAVE to have yourself + 4 other people in a registered team to play in that playlist. It would definitely bring a real sense of community back to Halo, and not to mention competitiveness.

Min Party Size: 4
Max Party Size: 4
Registered Teams Only

1 team Vs. 1 team for a variety of Slayer & Objective-based games.

Registering a team is as simply as submitting a new team name (of which will be filtered for bad words and such, as well as checked to see if it already exists in a database), and then there would be a “team” menu in the main menu of the game, where you can add/remove teammates, message them all at the same time about practice or whatever, change the team logo or emblem & colours, write a description, see team stats, promote members to captain/assistant captain, etc., give members designated titles “i.e. Sniper Expert” or “Flag Runner”, or whatever you wish, etc.

How awesome would that be? It’d be basically like incorporating MLG’s framework into the game, making it more centralized and tangible. I know TONS of people would take advantage of this feature in a big, bad way.

Although it’s probably too late for it to be incorporated into Halo 4 (unless it is already, in some form or another), maybe Halo 5? Especially if Halo 4 does as well as I think it will and revives the one great, HUGE Halo online presence/community.

Hmm. Almost like Clan matches from Halo 2?

Heres my pitch on how Id like to see this implemented.

You make your team and list all the players on the team. It goes through a short process to make sure there is so profanity or offensive themes then you edit your team name (maybe colors and emblems?) and then you start in on a playlist named “Team Tournement”.

When you start a game it shows your win/loss rating for your team in the pre-game stats and what rank your team is.

Only registered teams can play on this playlist and you have to have at least 3 registered team players to start the matchmaking.

I LOVE IT!

I believe this conversation belongs here.

So basically, it’d be the clans from Halo 2, only better? Sure, I’d be down.

But on a side note, remember, community does not =/= competitiveness. I’d argue that Halo was founded on casual play. Not saying there’s anything wrong with “Pro” players.

> So basically, it’d be the clans from Halo 2, only better? Sure, I’d be down.

Sort of, but only implemented better. And it’d be a more centric implementation, where it would basically be like editing a team in NHL 2012 or something (okay, not QUITE as detailed, but same general idea).

And said teams would only be usable/playable in “Team Tournament” playlist, and you’d HAVE to have 4 team members online and in your party to even play in the playlist, thereby making games in that playlist much more enjoyable for people who have teammates they’re compatible with and play well with, and would play against teams that are the same, have the same skill level, etc, cause the matchmaking would be based on the team’s overall skill, etc.
