I appreciate them being added, I really do, but uh… when do we get the rest of them? I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but I was rather bummed out to load up the new canvas and not be able to spawn in any ultra, temple, oni, or hannibal variants, no vespin rocket hog, no sword needler hog, only one of the variants for all of the power weapons, etc. I guess I just want a confirmation that they are coming eventually, since we’ve already waited 8 months, what’s another month or two right?
We don’t have all the variants because that would be too much fun and 343 doesn’t want us to just play custom games all the time because they are the heart and soul of most Halo games and because most people would rather have random fun in customs than play match made games because that would upset the competitive scene that they have tried oh so hard to shove down our throats.
During the livestream Tom French confirmed that all the variants will be added. They wanted to get all of them in, but they ran out of time to make it for the update.
