I 100% understand having a store with items to buy in a free to play game, if has become the norm for games and I am ok with that. I play a lot of Apex, I have since day 1, and I have spent well over $60 that you would typically pay for a game. But they offer so many fantastic cosmetic items, all of which are also purchasable through in game currency you can get from the battle-pass (free or paid for), or you can pay real money and get it quicker. So far I have not seen anything in the Infinite store worth buying, I am not excited for anything in there, which really sucks. I love Halo and I want to be excited for it, right now the battle-pass armor is all I care about. Reach armor is fantastic and it looks so good in Infinite, but if the store keeps up with how it is now I will never buy anything, especially for the money they are asking.
Battle Progression has already been sped up dramatically (due to tweaks to daily/weekly challenges) so that already sort of proves 343i is willing to make adjustments to certain things.
I agree with the idea that there should be SOME way of getting them credits without spending real money, but I feel that current store won’t stay exactly the same for very long. WIll it change on December 8th? No. But I can definitely see them being more lenient with stuff over the months/years.
Yeah, if they dropped the prices of the items they were selling I’d be on board. This game is going to be here for 10 years and I’d like to invest my money into cool items the store has. What I think should happen is make new armors and items exclusive to the store, at more reasonable prices, and keep older armors that players except in the battle pass. If armor sets were priced at like ~$10 or so, I’d buy them, but the current $20 is a bit too much.
People torched Destiny, but the upcoming 30th Bungie Anniversary pack featuring dungeons, cosmos, weapons and more is literally the same price as buying the color blue in this game lol.
It’s really funny isn’t it
