The F2P model adopted by 343I in this game is unfair because they put the Game Pass Ultimate members and the people who bought the game in the same level with the people who only creates a account for playing anything free. The GPU members and Halo Infinite owners must pay practically the same price (-10% for GPU members) for upgrade to the Premium Pass like people who don’t have any membreship on his accounts. On my opinion, as a very strange person who don’t cares and don’t feel desperate for unlock gear quickly, i can’t deny the monetization model aplied to Infinite is the worst part of this release (without count the Aim bots on the matchmaking because wasn’t planned).
With all the respect to the people who planned the multiplayer economy this movement was a huge mistake and the owners of the game and the Game Pass Ultimate suscribers must receive the Premium update for the pass for free so we can be able to unlock the content without pay extra money (like past Halo Games). This Pass model is too similar to the For Honor’s Season Pass model, a game where you already pay for the game but for unlock cosmetics on the Pass you need made some extra payment and the free pass give around of 10 items as reward for complete the 100 levels (without counting the XP boosters in both cases).
Many times the game developers think on how make more money, but the best way to do more money is take decisions having on mind the habitual players (the most important part of the Halo playerbase). Cheap microtransactions can multiplicate the expensive ones sales.
A friendly comment from a Halo fan since 15 years ago to 343I dev team. I hope my feedback could be useful because the game is almost perfect and truly fun.
