Other issue from the F2P model used on Infinite is this model delete any filter on the playerbase and increment exponencially the presence of AFK players and Aim Bots users. Many of the accounts i revised on the Live throught the player cards move on the 0-200 Gamescore. The Gamescore don’t prove skills or whatever everyone think, but is so useful as indicator of the kind of profile who you’re interecting. Obviously this accounts were created only for play F2P games, that is OK while they don’t use cheats, but the facts show us a different behavior.
I have to disagree against who incriminate only to the PC players on the use of Aim Assist (or Aim Bots). Sadly the last week i get some prooves from xbox users doing a bad use of the aim settings that can be customizated. Also my brother showed me a comment from a controller settings video on Youtube that says: “Aimbot Aim assist is so nice, i barely have to move the right stick” (Sorry but waypoint don’t let me upload pictures). On my opinion the only setting that a console user can be able to change on the Aim Settings is about the camera sensibility nothing more. This level of freedom on settings isn’t accessibility, is legal cheating in simple words.
I’m an Xbox One S user and i always play all FPS games on default settings, because i really trust on the dev teams and their work on terms of balanced and imparcial aim settings and i think this must be the way. The painfull truth is that a great part of this generation of players spends a lot of time on Youtube searching for glitchs or exploits for supass easily to other players on replace of the classic “play and learn” way.
Any development team want that his game will be played for many persons as possible, but let the cheaters and AFK people stay free and unpunished on the community don’t help on any way to the popularity and the survival of this game. The account ban is uneffective because there only take a few minutes for the cheaters create a new account, on this cases the dev team must use a hardware permanent ban system (IP or MAC). Is the only way for keep the people who really matters.
In the case of the AFK players (in 3 of 5 matches i have one), they must be dropout from the match after 1 minute without any activity. This kind of people give many points and a easy win to the other team, without counting the bad use of the electricity keeping the console switch on without any purpose. If this behavior persist on 2 or more games, banning him the access to the game by 1 day is fine too.
I’m sure that many players already left the game for a time while the mentioned issues from F2P model are fixed. For that reason the most important thing is make decisions where the real and honest players that make up this community are take on count.
A friendly comment from a Halo fan since 15 years to the 343I dev team. I hope my feedback could be useful.
