Hey guys,
So, i’m sure you’re all aware of the report and insider info we got from Killa KC on the MLG forums right?
If you’re not here is a little refresher. Sorry i dont have the link, but here it goes: Bloom has been confirmed for pistol and DMR, and a new conrtoller set up is here.
What i am going to talk about now is the conrtoller set up. I’m a bit worried as it seems to be the COD controller set up for some of the buttons. Sprint is now activated by the left stick, and crouch is now B. This is a problem for me, as like many people, i utilise crouch jumping on a regular basis. It is going to be near imposible to crouch jump with this set up.
What i think should happen is a completely customizable set up. This way, everyone is happy with the controller set up they get because they chose it. That means those who like halo 3’s can use it, those who like reachs can use it. The controller set up could be anything you wanted.

Yeah, i’d say this is definitley the best way to go.
Customizable controller would be epic.
It wasn’t done before because apparently there would some sort of god tier controller set up that would create an advantage.
It’s going to be tough T bagging though if i have my way, Halo 4 will control just fine.
Or i hope i can just opt to have Sprint and no additional AA. 
i hope that’s an option…

Edit: It was the regular layout, sorry lol. There are a large number of different layouts available, too. Bloom wasn’t confirmed… was it? They said there wouldn’t be any >:(

Hope they have a few playlist like that. But who knows maybe the AA’s will be ok ( crosses fingers )
I’m just gonna use the Razer Onza TE controller, so I can have both Sprint and AA on left bumpers. ^^
But yeah, there should be fully customiseable control settings.

God teir controller set up… Good luck finding that with the amount of buttons we have now!
Yeah, it will cut down on the amount of t-baggers, thats for damn sure.
Still, crouch jumping is going to be a whole lot harder to do, and sprinting is going to be sooooo annoying…

They actually said: “There won’t be bloom like in Halo Reach”. So they didn’t say there wouldn’t be bloom at all, I already saw it coming… Not that I care, I don’t dislike bloom.

They actually said: “There won’t be bloom like in Halo Reach”. So they didn’t say there wouldn’t be bloom at all, I already saw it coming… Not that I care, I don’t dislike bloom.

Perhaps, but we can always resort to corpse hitting push comes to shove. Nothing says “-Yoink- off me BK” than a brutal punch to a dead corpse.
Unless Melee is now counter intuitive as well. Noooooo lol if that’s the case.
Sprinting away from trouble shouldn’t even be an option. Sprint can still work, it’s just that you can’t escape back. Only move forward.

Don’t worry about bloom only DMR and Pistol but the bloom system has been reworked ( so it may work well )so I wouldn’t worry about it. But back on topic button set-ups a completely customizable set would be great. Why would they think there is a god set if they did that I understand it may give you a slight edge but your shot wouldn’t be affected.

I dont recall him saying anything about southpaw… Bloom was confirmed, but he said it wasnt a problem on the DMR (And honestly, that thing would be so overpowered if there wasnt bloom). The magnum however is exactly the same as reach’s as far as we know.
PS: He said it was ONLY on the DMR and magnum out of the weapons he got to use. Dont worry, its not on the BR or AR. Allthough i do recall him saying the BR and DMR were both five shot kill and the BR had minor spread.

Actually, i’m more concerened that sprint is operated by left stick… Its been confirmed we slow down when we get shot while sprinting, so i dont see that as an issue.
I hadn’t really thought about the controls too much… but now I’m curious. Crouching is second nature in Halo. Removing it from the LS is an interesting move on 343i’s part.

I’m concerned that it will affect crouching in a bad way. I mean, its going to be really hard to sneak up on the campers while holding B and pushing left stick forward while trying to not activate sprint and while also looking around…

I think it’ll be like in BF3. Press ‘B’ once and you’ll crouch. To stand back up, just press it again - That way you’re still able to look around.
Wasn’t it revealed that there is a huge amount of controller set ups?
Still, can’t beat customisable! Fingers crossed!
