About the community maps

Hello

I noted the inclusion of a lot of community maps intro the multiplayer, and i have few questions about it:

How does a community map get chosen to be add into Matchmaking?

When does new ones include and old ones remove? I have noted that the community maps i saw moths ago are no longer on matchmaking, but there are new ones.

New community maps are usually chosen by Community Cartographers, a group of users who look at maps, offer improvements for them and then possibly submit them to 343i for matchmaking consideration.

Old maps only tend to be removed if the author is apparently a bad role model in the community, which sounds stupid, and I disagree with it down to the soul.

New maps used to be added on a common basis, while both Bungie & 343i were in charge, with Reach getting slowly towards the end of its cycle, they is slowing and less will be added each time.

And the community cartographers try the maps from the last upload maps etc? In other words, any map that any one upload can be chosen?

Any map has a chance if it is decent enough for Matchmaking consideration, FORGE MAPS IN MATCHMAKING - FAQ.

Give that topic a read.

Many of them are submitted to the cartogrophers, who are usually staff members at places like Forgehub.com. They have a place called “The Library” where you can submit stuff to be considered.
