Is this really it for the A.I we have all come to know and love? the whole campaign was amazing but i reallllllly hope this isnt the last time we see cortana in our HUD?

IMO, there is no way Cortana OR the Didact are dead.
My hypothesis is that Cortana somehow got composed along with the Didact and we will see them both in H5 or H6.
haha it seems like all anyone does is complain. i almost cried to but i’m fine either way if she comes back or not. there has been a thread or two that list ways she could come back but she went out with a hell of a bang and “died” a great hero’s death.

Nope, she gets Chief off the ship and fades into… something. The fact that she was able to interact with actual objects means that she’s still very much around. Just somewhere we aren’t aware of yet.
Plus, the way she brought down the ship was by ejecting the rampant parts of her personality. That solves her rampancy (I think), now they need to find her, and put her back together. She’s alive, but lost and incomplete.
