I keep on hearing that it is 5 shot to kill, but in game and in videos I keep on seeing that it is 4 shot?

Also in game when I’ve been playing, when I get in 1v1 situations, I manage to pull of 4 shots so I don’t know why people think it’s 5 shot…
If it is 5 shot though, they should make it 4 shot. The main difference between BR and DMR is this:
BR:
It is only 4 shot if the last bullet in the last shot (of three bullets) is a head shot. After you’ve shot someone 3 times with the BR, their shield is not down. It takes the second bullet of the last burst to take down the shield, and the last bullet of the last burst to the head to be 4 shot. If the last bullet doesn’t connect with the head, then it pretty much becomes 5 shot, and that’s where all the skill was in it before.
DMR:
The 4th shot takes the shield down. The DMR is much more accurate that the burst fire spread of the BR, so each shot is pretty powerful. However, like the BR, it takes 4 shots to take down the shield. Unlike the BR, you still need to get a headshot to kill the other person, while with the BR, if you’re skilled enough, you can get a 4 shot if the last bullet in the last burst connects with the head.
I haven’t encountered a situation where I had to 5 shot someone with the BR, unless I aiming poorly. But if it is indeed 5 shot, then they basically made the BR underpowered compared to all the other weapons of its kind.
On a side note, I’ve noticed the BR has very fast kill times in campaign, at least for me. Also noticed the covenent sniper rifle doesn’t take down shields anymore.
