About The Banhammer...

So, I was playing a game of CTF on Fathom when, right at the last second of the game after an amazing clean-up, I got disconnected. The game then told me I was banned for 40 minutes for quitting too many matches. From what I know, I had quit NONE of my matches. The fact that disconnects count towards the banhammer is just stupid. It’s not the player’s fault that an unexpected internet hiccup occurred, yet they get penalised. That’s not fair.

While we’re on the topic of banhammers however, I would like to say that banning for quitters is too soft. From what I know, people can leave more than three games and still be able to play freely. In my opinion, the ban should be implemented after THREE QUITS in one 24 hour period. No more, no less.

EDIT: Actually, I lie, I did quit ONE match.

For whatever reason, your recent matchmaking history shows a number of unfinished games, which caused your ban.

If these are all disconnects, try troubleshooting your network and post in the support forum for assistance. Not the most satisfying answer, but a place to start.

You must’ve miscounted. He said he only quit one.

Because apparently “servers cant tell the difference between a quit and a disconnect”

There are three kinds of people in the world: those who can count and those who can’t.
