I love it! However, I think it is way overpowered when using Smart Link/Scope. Therefore it has a range issue…
I’m suggesting that the reticle blooms - although a bit slower than usual - when firing in that mode. It would tone down those spray kills from across the map and also it keeps it superpowerful at close-mid range, thus making the gap between AR and DMR bigger - so that the BR also has a fair shot.

lets face it if you can hip fire a sniper rifle with the same accuracy as scoped in it doesn’t make sense that you cant do the same for every other weapon

No, no it does not
The sniper rifle is a precision weapon meant for long distances, hencley zooming -should- increase accuracy
The AR is a close range spray and pray weapon, it shouldn’t be receiving an accuracy bonus with ADS
In my opinion it needs a nerf to its range both in and out of ADS (in truth I think ADS on the AR should be removed) and an increase to its spread

no scoping sniping has been part of halo since the beginning as long as you can line up your shot the sniper will fire just as straight from the hip as it would if its scoped in
but it is easier to line up a shoot while scoped nothing more
this is how all ADS should work in my opinion with no change to accuracy/spread it should just be a zoom
I agree partly with the range the AR has while ADS is too much but if they remove the buff ADS gives then i reckon the AR would be pretty balanced as its accuracy would safely be in the close to mid rang
just remember so far we have only played on pretty small maps so the AR is gonna be right at home but on a big map like sandtrap the DMR/BR should still dominate with more long range encounters
Just nerf the weapon, It take THREE shots to kill once the shield is down with the AR. That fast kill time is not what halo is about, in halo you should have the chance to turn a battle around (never will happen with two people shooting your back with an AR)
