Now I love Jeff Steitzer as much as the next guy, but I think the amount of words he uses are a bit unnecessary at times. For example, "Control power weapons to dominate the enemy team. " As if we didn’t already know that. It even says it at the bottom of the screen. I’m not talking about how he sounds, just that what he says can be a bit excessive at times. I still love my multikill medals and sprees to be voiced.
343 removed it. Watch some Gamescom gameplay and you should hear no announcer at the start. It also sounds like 343 toned down the announcer a bit as well.

I noticed they toned down how he says the multi kills and sprees, but I thought I heard the intro still.
Edit: You’re right, I rewatched the video and they took him out at the beginning.

I really do hate how 343 says that they want to bring Halo back into the competitive scene with Halo 5, yet the announcer makes it seem like there are a bunch of kids playing by announcing every match that we need to kill enemies to win the match. The hand-holding is really not needed.

Have you even read the posts right before you or watched up to date gameplay before saying that? Yeah, that’s right, you haven’t.

Yeah, I did, am I not allowed to agree with people? And it doesn’t matter if they changed it for Halo 5, H2A and Halo 4 still have it(not like it matters).

I’m hoping he is. If he’s not, it’s not like 343 made the script to say “Schwat” instead of “Swat”, it’s just the way he reads them off. So yes, it is him.
I don’t see a problem with the intro announcement. It helps new people get into the game, especially objective games. During the actual game, there really isn’t that much overboard.

I love his voice, I just don’t think the intros need to be quite as long. Like someone else said, just saying “Slayer” would be enough, I already know power weapons can turn the tide of battle. I don’t mind his voice during combat, I like having the majority of my medals voiced.

I don’t mind it with objective games like oddball or capture the flag. Except with Gungoose CTF, I can’t stand how he says his intro… “GUNGOOSE CTF! Capture the enemy flag on a GUNGOOSE!!!”

What are they calling it if it’s no longer slayer?
