I’m sure there have been many complaints, problems, discrepancies, etc., with the whole Competitive Skill Rank system. Among those problems have been the skill level matching, skill rank visibility, and all that other good stuff, but what about legitimate leveling of your skill rank? I’m sure it’s been covered, but I’m just going to admit this beforehand:
This is a complaint.
I’ve DAMN WELL earned my 50 in SWAT, yet I’m a 44. I just played two games after checking my CSR and seeing that I was a 46 (I previously was a 49, won, and deranked). Don’t even bother attempting to say, “you probably don’t come in first all the time,” “you probably don’t win enough,” or anything along those lines. I win basically every game whether I’m playing against a team or not. I carry too hard in that playlist. The two games I just played, I finished in first and took the win for my team of scrandoms. I consistently do well in SWAT, yet every time I get near a 50, I start deranking. Why? Just why?
Torment me some more, will you?
If you quit out of a game it has no effect on your CSR; you won’t rank up or down.
Just start quitting whenever you don’t have the highest score towards the end of a match.

In CSR, you rank up against players of a higher CSR. You de-rank when outscored (win or lose).
So I went a bit back in your Service Record to late March seen as you’ve only played two games since (unless I missed a SWAT CTF/KOTH game). Aside from the fact you have to play to rank up (…) you have been playing bad players of low CSRs. Even going back to late March, there have been games where you’ve been outscored by players despite winning hence the no rank up. In fact you were lucky you didn’t rank down.
People say SWAT is the easiest playlist to get a 50 in. I would disagree. Sure the competition is easy, but that’s what makes it so challenging. I finished almost every game with 25+ kills without being outscored on my way to get a 50. It must have taken me at least 200 games to get from the 35-50. During that time I can say I played maybe 20 or so players who were actually a 40+ in CSR hence the long rank up. I de-ranked after being locked into a game when the enemy team backed out in the pre-game lobby meaning everybody finished on 0 (meaning I finished at the same level as lower ranks). It sucks and I know the feeling
Its just down to the matching system. I’d say Rumble Pit is the easiest 50 for you to go for at this point because you’ll find plenty of very high ranked players.

I gave up before March. I briefly revisited SWAT, hoping that I’d start going up again. I’ve played several high-ranked players and won, finishing first in the entire lobby. Even when I beat players with a higher CSR and outscore them, I still derank. It doesn’t even matter ._.
I’ll get a Rumble Pit 50 soon enough. It’s way too easy anyways. Same with Flood. In the mean time, I’ll just keep pushing for that Flag 50. Only 11 ranks to go >_<
