About Spartan IV height...

It’s known that the Spartan II’s grew to be universally tall, ranging from 6’8 to nearly 8’ (Sam) out of their armor. This is because they were given some sort of growth hormone enhancing implant in the middle of puberty. (It was at least some time before the events of Forward Unto Dawn, in which Chief, Kelly, and Fred were all about 14-15.) The II’s would have still had growth plates, which growth hormone acts on. However, the IV’s are all about the same height as the II’s. The problem here is that the IV’s are augmented war veterans; they were just normal people before being accepted for the Spartan IV project. They were also well past puberty (for the most part most likely), and thus had no growth plates to increase height so drastically. How the heck did they all grow to be so tall?

Palmer is 6’9 outside of armor, and Chief is around the same for example. (The ending CGI was waaaaay too much artistic license.) The Spartan III’s are quoted as having much more varied heights than the II’s, which one in particular being like 5’3 (mentioned in Ghosts of Onyx). This is because they received a different augmentation procedure. If the IV’s and the III’s received similar augmentation procedures, then wouldn’t the IV’s have extremely varied heights too?

Wrong once again, Palmer is 6’4 without her armor on, while John/Chief is 6’10 without armor on.

Palmer’s height is stated as 6’9 while in full armor, Helmet and all, while John’s is 7’2 in armor.

Spartan IV’s only grow slightly taller than they would of been pre-augmentation, Palmer herself was likely around 5’10 or more before she was ever augmented. Even as a Adult you can increase in height due to muscle build, flexibility, but it is not to much, its your leg muscles that allow your height to stretch a bit.

The tallest Spartan IV seems to be Demarco at the moment, who is 6’6 I believe without armor on.

The Ending CGI Scene, is accurate, John with or without armor is taller than any Spartan IV.

People should stop assuming things, and actually have the facts before making blind statements, especially about Spartan IV’s and their height. There is very little height difference between Lasky and Palmer when she is not in her armor, you really think she is 6’9 without it… come on.

Noble Six, is 6’5 without his armor on, and 6’10 with it on, same for Carter, and Emile, which means neither of them were less than 6’2-6’3 before augmentation, its simple to understand.

The one you refer to being 5’3 without armor was likely around the same height before augmentation, and only 5’8 or so with it on. She is perhaps one of the smallest Spartans known.

Palmer was about shoulder height at the end, not a midget.

I’m pretty sure you’re basic your information on things that aren’t actually facts; hence, opinion. The height of the Chief relative to the IV’s and Palmer is inconsistent from the campaign to the ending CGI. Also, Palmer is quoted as being 6’9 and it doesn’t specify that being in or out of armor I believe. Ironically, you too are assuming things.

I’m pretty sure you’re basic your information on things that aren’t actually facts; hence, opinion.
