As we know the multiplayer is free-to-play, meaning that it is separate from the Halo: Infinite campaign. But where do the achievements lie and how much gamerscore will the game be?
For instance, a normal Xbox game with multiplayer generally has both multiplayer and single player achievements under one title and has 1000G in total. With Halo: Infinite essentially being split into two halves, would there still be 1000G in total or because the multiplayer is separate, would it be 2000G in total?
Microsoft has traditionally let Halo do whatever the heck it wants in terms of achievements, despite whatever norms or policies are in place. So I think we can expect Campaign and MP both to have a full suite of achievements worth at least 1000 each.
Examples
- H3 was the first xbox game to add new achievements with DLC, pushing the possible potential score to >1000. - MCC was the first Xbox title to launch with over 1000GS possible
Personal opinion: I wish there were only achievements in campaign mode.
I’d be happy with two separate lists. Just no luck based multiplayer achievements.

I’m with you. Two for One in Halo 3 was so annoying. It was my last achievement and there was like a 5 year gap between that one and the one before that for me. I don’t mind the ones like “Win X Amount of Games in Multiplayer” or something like that but when it’s luck based it’s really obnoxious to get.

“Kill a flag carrier on the map Sandbox using a single sniper rifle bullet deflected off the wall during the Spring Equinox in a game with at least three other players named Harold” type-achievements seemed to be about 50% of the Halo 3 DLC ones.

Same here. I detest multiplayer achievements but some are more reasonable than others.
