About Going Dark...

Hey Waypoint.

I haven’t really gone dark before for a game. I made the decision that I’m going dark for Halo 4, after I got the entire campaign of MW3 spoiled for myself. (I hate COD now, the campaign to MW3 was a complete disappointment. MW3 was actually when I realized it’s the same thing every year. But that’s not the point.)

I really wanted to go dark after they released a full campaign trailer and I’d thought that would be at PAX. We didn’t get a trailer, but now the spoilers and scripts are making me want to go dark whatsoever.

And some of the members in the community forget that they’re spoiling the spoiler, in the title of the thread.
I walk into Waypoint and see threads with titles that give away spoilers.
Yeah having “[SPOILERS]” in the title is fine, but right after that the spoiler is in the title, like what the heck? Come on guys you’re still spoiling it. Make the title something like “Spoilers to Halo Script” not something like “Spoilers: so and so are in the Script”.

Anyway, I’m just wondering when do you think the right time for going dark would be? I have never gone dark before, and I don’t know if now would be a good time to or not.

If so, is anyone else going dark now?
If I go dark now I’ll probably be back around the week of launch to celebrate the launch of Halo 4 and 343i

There have been a few threads on this topic… and you don’t really have to announce it when you go dark.

And, to answer your question, no. I will stay in the light, for as long as I can.

I’m not announcing anything, I’m asking is the right time to go dark :stuck_out_tongue:

No better time than the present. There is alot of info surfacing so I’d advise going dark now.

part of going dark is staying out of the forums so whats the problem? you looking for a trailer check the main page every few days, etc and stop coming here.

Did you not read the whole post??? I’m asking if the time is right to go dark. Apparently it is. So you don’t need to say anything else. Bye.
