The guy is a -Yoinking!- moron

You know to me flag droppin has always felt good almost like the flow of leaves in fall.

Yes, he has a different opinion than you so he is a moron, how cute.

and yet hes one of the most experienced halo players, i think he knows how these things work

Where exactly did he state this? Because I’m positive Bravo isn’t a moron.

I also like the change. Don’t pick it up if you’re not prepared to run it.

Why is everybody defending 343? It was never even a problem in Halo 3 and you couldn’t even do it in Reach.
I just don’t get this forum. 343 keeps taking things that were never a problem, changing them, then suddenly everyone on this forum has to leap to their defense and explain why it is a problem and how 343 are brilliant and right with everything they do.

I have never heard a single complaint about the ability to drop the flag, so why is everybody defending 343 and saying it was the right decision, it’s stupid fanboy behavior and yes we may not be able to change any of it, but that doesn’t mean we can’t complain, i just hope there will be a mixture of CTF gametypes in the main team objective playlist

yeah, i had a bit of a jar jar binks moment and put me instead of he :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t get where the problem is. It’s to encourage team work and practical thinking.

They’re trying to stop people simply grabbing the flag and running two steps before being killed. Now you’ll have to think “Am I in the best position to take the flag?” amongst other things.

So… Is this the 1st thread you’ve visited today?

What? They changed it because they wanted to.

I’m more offended at the ridiculously crazy backlash, yet again, at something so minuscule, so meaningless, without even trying out the change.

its not a fanboy reaction, i dont like it at the moment either, but like a smart person ill try it before i say anything, we now have a pistol and run faster while having the flag, these probably balance it fine, they may not, or they will, only time will tell.

ps. if im a blind fanboy your a blind hater…

I’m so glad its gone. Nothing is more annoying than constantly hearing “Flag dropped. Flag taken. Flag dropped. Flag taken.” not that you move at normal speed and have a weapon, there is absolutely no reason to drop the flag anyway.

“But I want to drop the flag and shoot a guy with my rocket so I don’t die.”
When you pick up the flag, you are making it your duty to run the flag and doing so should be your only priority. You shouldn’t have a power weapon anyway. Making sure the flag runner doesn’t die is up to the other team mates. The new system gives you a little defense but you are still at a disadvantage. I like it.

The problem is that it discourages players from doing the objective. Objective gameplay is lackluster in Reach because people like to stat for credits, but this takes it even further.

Wow you clearly didn’t get the point did you, there was not a single complaint until after today, everybody jumped to defend 343i because they are mindless fanboys.

Really? - because in my opinion, MLG has royally -Yoinked!- Halo since it’s surge in popularity

The game shouldn’t be made to cater to these ‘professionals’ at all, the developers shouldn’t be at beck and call to these people just because they play these games in a ‘competitive environment’

Not to be rude or anything, but you notice this now?

Well actually it’s very common to drop the flag in MLG to help DMR an enemy so you and your team don’t die and lose control just because one person doesn’t have the option to shoot for being too focused on the flag and the flag alone. But now that you wield a pistol you can still do that.
