So did the Elites take over the Profits jobs, or are the Profits still part of the Covy, or did half the Covy go with the Elites and the Other half is still Brutes and Profits no Elites etc… But they both kinda are into the same thing!
DOn’t mean to offend but I couldn’t help but crack up at the title. I believe you’re refering to “prophets” and I don’t think there really is any prophets in the storm. I believe that the storm are just a poor rebel group who still believe in the religion and are working as a group to make decisions, instead of listening to some prophet. But don’t quote me on any of this, as I am yet to read Glasslands. I will soon though.
First off - Prophets, not Profits
Now that I got that out of my system, I’m fairly certain that there were only 3 Prophets, and they’re all dead.
As for the Covenant, they’re pretty much broken up, aside from a few splinter groups.
- Elites
- ???
- Profits
Wow that really bothered you that much A Spelling Error?

Well then it’s about time to grow up right everyone makes mistakes no one is perfect!

For starters I’m just messing with you. It’s not really a big deal. And second, there’s a difference between grammar errors and using the wrong word entirely. Profit is the difference between what is spent and what is gained. Prophets are individuals of religious value
It is mostly true in how you worded it in your post OP, however the Elites have all but destroyed the Brutes as a species and are at the moment hunting down any remaining Prophets, they were more than 3, but the 3 within the Games were Hierachs and a High Council, they were 4 at one time but one was killed before the events of Halo 2 I believe. They are however only a small population of Prophets left in general, and eventually the Elites will likely erase them completely.
The Elites, and their followers within Halo 4 however are a rogue group in general, they still believe in the religion taught to them about the Forerunners and how they are their gods and their relics must be scavenged and protected and at times studied.

There’s “making a mistake” and there’s completely disregarding the proper name and then getting upset when people correct you for it. The correct name is Prophets. I suggest you learn from the mistake and stop telling people to grow up.

Here’s another example. Snickerdoodle here is like a prophet amongst us on this site. And she profits from it as it is her job to monitor us.
Yes its going to bother most people. At first i thought you were talking about game sells then i read it and got upset as well. Its just like, dang, idk haha. Profits = something we love
Prophets = something we hate
There are only about 1000 San 'Shyuum left after the Great Schism. But we must remember that there is a difference between the Storm Covenant and the Covenant Loyalists. I have no doubt there are some surviving San 'Shyuum taking the role as Prophets for the Loyalists whose forces have not been fragmented by the Brute clans infighting, but they have no role within the Storm Covenant.
So they Elites went to Requiem just for money? It all makes sense now…
I am interested in seeing if the Prophets will have any part in the new trilogy to be honest, I feel like most of their species is just as insane as Truth had become in most ways.

I think that is a bit of an unfair assessment. Truth was a special kind of crazy, he KNEW of the Covenant’s faith being based on a lie and did his best to keep that hidden, so much so even he began to believe his lie. The rest of his species, along with the other client races, followed along in ignorance.
> Now that I got that out of my system, I’m fairly certain that there were only 3 Prophets, and they’re all dead.
Nope. The prophets are of the alien RACE San 'Shyuum. It is unknown what happened to the rest of them after the end of the Human-Covenant war when the third high Prophet (Truth) was killed by the Arbiter and the Ark was destroyed.
Their population is near extinction, but there are/were FAR more than just 3 of them.
> Wow that really bothered you that much A Spelling Error?
Yes
Thats true
I’m just curious if the remaining Prophets would of remained loyal to Truths goals, and the lies, once the Covenant in general was decimated. It will be interesting to see if the Loyalist have a actual plan of their own or if they will continue to flee from the Elites and those whos eyes have been opened. Most Brutes however seem intent on walking down the same road as before and being used, or simply fighting amongst themselves as before, it would be hard to imagine the Brutes themselves rising again anytime soon.

Glasslands doesn’t hint to the Storm Covenant, just an elite group called the “Servants of the Abiding Truth” that still believed an upheld the Covenant beliefs, but The Thursday War is supposed to explain where they came from.
