I think Downfall should be taken out of Husky Raid or fixed because it is very badly designed (from a gameplay prospective).
Here are the reasons:
it is asymmetric. Husky Raid CTF is already a asymmetrical gametype (a fake symmetrical gametype I should say) since players will spawn with totally random weapons. This can create situations where a team has too much advantage thanks to luck. If the map is also asymmetric that advantage can become really problematic. - red base has height advantage over blue base (this is actually a consequence of the previous point). This means that people will camp on the highest point with snipers and destroy blue team. - There are too many glass panels on sight lines. This makes really hard to understand if the enemy I am aiming too is behind a glass panel or not. The map is also very dark and this makes everything worse. All these issues make the map really slow, confusing and unfair.
While we’re at it, Meta Wave and Sleipnir are fairly “Ugh” as well. Though they’re both ‘equal’ in design, they’re horribly, terribly irritating to play on. Upping the weighting on Palmyra, Blood and Stone, and Sandbox Raid would be good too, as an alternative.
On that note though, I’ve had over a hundred and twenty games of Husky Raid and only four or five games of Palmyra, not even that much on Blood and Stone, and I’ve never gotten Sandbox Raid once. Not once.
So things to consider for the next time they bring this playlist back and/or if they put it into Action Sack for the meantime.

I have mixed feelings about Meta Wave, but Sleipnir is another great example of bad design: you can easily block the teleporter of the other team by spamming sniper/rocket, this can be very frustrating for the opposite side.
I feel like some of these maps has been designed to accommodate a theme rather than a good gameplay experience.

I agree with you the map seems unfair, the blue base isn’t as big with less places to hide and less angles to shoot from, if the map was symmetrical maybe this would help. Also Ive never eneded up on the red team for Downfall. So we just get slaughtered with no chance to do the slaughtering. Haha. But better Map design is needed for a more even game play. Maybe if the map stays the same, blue team should have a bridge button that opens a large gap in the middle of the map, light light bridge on/off. I like look and appreciate a cool city map and its not easy to combine cool looking maps with fairly sided team maps, but this one could use a few more tweaks.
Husky raid I -Yoink- all you do is get spawn killed by swords and rockets it’s -Yoink- and you need to be like immune or something or the game mode be removed completely god I hate it
I think downfall is ok, I still don’t like small maps (that’s why I left 4 years ranked games) but I like husky bcs I played it a lot in my h4 days.
The only thing I don’t like is the darkness of the maps during the morning or evening, is so difficult detect campers with everything in black (gutter and the one with the trains).
Sleipnir is very bad if you’re playing vs a team. They can put your flag inside the ‘barrier’ and just stay there.
(Im a guy with 2000+ husky games🤣)
Husky Raid is a great mode. It’s a real team game that needs nerve and commitment to win. Better still it isn’t interspersed with :yawns: Slayer.
Unfortunately too many people play it like slayer, or play ‘defend the flag’ and ultimately get spawn killed and lose heavily.
Different maps need different approaches.
Downfall’s ok: i just noticed that imbalance on the blue side last night, though it was only about the 2nd or 3d time i’d played on that team.

Yeah that’s so bad. I know some guys that never go for the flag, they stay at the base as if they were afraid of dying.

I mean, that’s sort of literally the point of Husky Raid. Linear (ish) Super Fiesta CTF.
Luckily, if you don’t like it, you can literally just not choose the playlist.

I agree, Sleipnir is a bad map. Snipes and swords rule generally. It would be better with pistols and ARs with a couple of weapon pads, one at each bridge’s mid and Overshield at each base. By the way, I’ve played against you in Husky Raid a few times, you are a very good player.

yep, snipers have a very big advantage in husky maps, once I played vs Frosty and they give him norfang in first spawn (never happen to me in 1500 games).
